Sorting reviews

I can’t find a way to sort reviews in order of rating. Am I missing something here? I’d like to be able to see some good reviews and some bad reviews in order to get an idea of the overall experience of the contractor.

Any one have a suggestion? I don’t want to keep clicking the next page link to find a low review… because it seems like there are SO MANY reviews of 10, 10, 10, 10, 10.

We use an algorithm of both the number of reviews as well as the rating itself to determine the sort order. The logic is that someone with a lot of reviews has a higher ranking that someone with a single 10 review.
And yes, that search order does show a lot of 10 reviews, but isn’t that what you are looking for? is there a reason to look for someone with poor reviews (apart from schadenfreude)? If you’re looking for reviews on a particular company, use the search by company name button on the top to see whether a particular company you are looking at might have poor reviews.
Hope that helps.
We will have more search order features in an upcoming release.

Hi, thanks for the response.

I think we might be talking about different screens. My search order was not referring the list of companies. You’re right, I don’t want to look for bad companies.

I’m looking at the reviews for a particular company. For example, if I am looking at reviews for company ABC, who has 100 reviews. I can see 3 pages of all 10s, followed by a page with all 10s and a 4, followed by another 2 pages of all 10s, etc…

The reason I’d like to sort the reviews for a company is because I find it difficult to believe all of these companies get 10 rating 95% of the time. I’d like to be able to see some 7, 8, and 9s and read those ratings. In my experience with contractors, I would give very few of them a 10. There’s always something they can improve on and I think that an 8 or 9 is a very good score. But what are the small issues that the reviewers thought could be better? Why didn’t he get that 10?

Additionally, if a company has 2 or 3 poor ratings out of 100, I would like to know why. For example, does the client seem to have a legitimate issue or have any advice for dealing with this company. One HVAC review I read said that the contractor brought the wrong unit to be installed and the reviewer suggested that you need to get the model number in writing. The contractor responded in agreement, get the entire statement of work in writing and apologized for the miscommunication. This was a very good review even though it was a 4 (or 6 I can’t remember the exact number).
