The pilot in my water heater(owned) keeps going out. I recently replaced the thermo coupler so I have no trouble re-lighting, but I'd like to know why it goes out. This happens daily.

I had my storm windows replaced 2 years ago with retrofitted thermal windows. Now I notice more street noise and cold air coming in around the windows. What would cause this and what can I do to remedy the situation?
