My bedroom window is making whistling noise sometimes. Do I have to replace new one or this can be fixed? Thank you.

The window whistling noise is generally caused by a broken seal or missing gasket. This window must be the type that opens so you will have to check the bottom of the window that physically opens to see if the sweep is destroyed or frayed. Look really well all round to see if anything is out of order. Another key point is the mechanism that actually locks the window must be engaged and checked to see that it has not been dislodged. Search on line for a manufacturer of windows in your city to obtain any parts if needed and check out there products in case you need them in the future. Take a digital photo with you of the window and part needed
