We found about Toprock stucco company from homestars website. We called Cuma and he was very professional and provided us with information/advice about the stucco work. He also provided us with different addresses that we could go and see the houses that they worked on before. We decided to do the stucco with this company and we are very happy with our decision. The people working for this company are very professional, very detailed, and they did a great job. We also liked that they worked very cleanly and they were careful with the surroundings. Overall we are very satisfied with their work and we definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to apply stucco on their house.

Our contractor hired Toprock to stucco the exterior of our house during our renovation. I showed Cuma a picture of what I wanted our house to look like and he and his crew were able to execute it. I was very pleased with the results. Unfortunately, it rained quite a bit last fall after the job was completed. Cuma and his crew returned this spring as soon as the weather permitted to repair the damage and to complete the work. Cuma and his crew are very professional and courteous. I highly recommend them.

We interviewed a few stucco contractors found on Homestars and a referral from a friend and we found Cuma proved to be most professional, informative and responsive. Despite our house being small in comparison to the big jobs Cuma usually performs his treatment of us was stellar. We did not know much about the technical aspects of the stucco process so Cuma took the time to explain the details to us to ensure we were comfortable. We are very detailed oriented so there were several sessions to answer the various questions we thought of. Furthermore, Cuma provided previous clients that we could contact and actually visit so we were able to validate his claims by objective third parties. Cuma's team was hard working and professional we had several comments from the neighbours about how impressed they were by the team's workmanship and how tidy they left the property. The house looks great and fits into the surrounding neighborhood. I specifically delayed writing my review months after the job was to complete so I could comment on post project experience. We only had one small incident where we noticed that a little caulking was missed from around the fence. I contacted Cuma who returned my call within the day and had someone out to fix the issue within a few days. Also this year we did not have to turn on the heat as early as normal and actually the furnace does not kick in as much as it used to because the house is so much warmer. We interviewed several stucco contractors for the stuccoing/EIFS of our entire house. This was a big job as the old and deteriorating stucco had to be removed. Once we met Cuma, we knew that we wanted to hire Toprock. During our first meeting with Cuma, he was very professional, thorough, explained everything in great detail and answered the many questions we had. We felt very confident in hiring him. Cuma’s crew was highly skilled and hard working. Their workmanship was excellent. During the process, Cuma was always available to answer our questions and problem solve when any issues arose. For example, we had an issue with our window company and had a meeting set in the late evening with the window installer to work through the problems with the installation. Cuma did not need to do so, but he came to the meeting in the late evening (10:00pm) to ensure that his stucco work would not be compromised in any way by the problem with the window installation. Cuma and his team did not hesitate like several other companies when they learned of our east facing elevation, which was only 23.5" inches away from our neighbours wall! Cuma had 18" inch scaffolding which he carefully installed and had a full crew applying all layers of EIFS on what seemed like a near impossible area. Other crews told us they would not even attempt that. Cuma consistently went above and beyond throughout the entire stucco installation process. Toprock has an excellent relationship with Durex/DuraBond, whose representatives came out to ensure everything was up to code (which it was). Toprock uses Quantum channeled insulation, which not all companies use in order to cut corners. We could not be happier with the work that was done. Our house looks really really beautiful! We highly recommend Cuma and Toprock. You will not be disappointed in hiring them.

The project involved about 6500 sq ft of stucco work. The work included the replacement of the front roof flashing but keep the old flashing on the rear roof. Also one of the east wall on the rear building needed to be modified in order to provide better water protection between the front roof and this wall. Also, a bulk head was built to enclose the horizontal down sprout for better appearance. Basically we asked the stucco contractor to act as a general contractor for all these work plus caulking. We, as owner, would complete the gas pipe alteration, exterior electrical fixtures and roofing work that are required. The work was done in two phases because of its size. The work was done professionally and the workmanship was first class. The crew members worked efficiently that the entire project was done in a month's time which was a lot faster than we expected. We first met Toprock in November last year where we went through all the details as much as we could. The work was scheduled to be done in May of this year. Disputes did arise, possibly of this time lag, in several occasions that the contractor forgot what we have discussed. The main issue was that the contractor forgot all the metal flashing were to be finished by them though my roofing contractor had repaired the roof. Fortunately we have put down the specific requirements in the contract prepared by us and not the one prepared by the contractor. It is very important any owner should make sure that all the details are written in a clear and explicit way and not in any vague terms. The other issue is about change of order. There was no firm solution on how to cover the horizontal pipe in the first place when we signed the contract. The solution only came when the work was started. The contractor charged a very high premium for such alteration in the first place but changed later to be based on the the actual labor and materials. The lesson is that as owner, we should finalize the design and get a concrete price before entering into a contract. From the point of stucco work itself, this is really a good contractor. However, you have to be very careful if the stucco work need to be interfaced with other trade. Although we have few issues, we would still consider that this is a good contractor to work with. They are responsible to their work and will try their best to do it right. They listened to your concerns. They provided you with a good schedule on when they will start the work. It gives you sufficient time and a reliable one to plan ahead. Finally, we would like to show our appreciation to Cuma and his team for doing such a fine job. Thank you.

Cuma and team did a wonderful job removing all the aluminum siding and replacing it with stucco. Cuma was very detailed in explaining what needs to be done and why. This was great as I am a first time home buyer and do not know much about home renovations. In fact, Top Rock was one of 4 or 5 companies I requested a quote for and theirs was the only one that detailed exactly what is to be done and what product to be used. Throughout the project, Cuma was very patient and his crew was quick and very efficient. Many neighbours and friends have already comment how beautiful the house now looks!
