Mike had done some work in the area and the feedback was quite positive, so we hired him to finish our basement renovation. Mike an Nello are very professional and we never encountered any surprises. They showed up on time every day and they finished the job as planned. They are a hard working crew and you won't be dissapointed.

We found Maralon Construction and Design on Homestars.com the week we were about to purchase our new house. We invited Mike to go over the house with us and discuss future renovations and works. The main reasons for selecting Maralon was their familiarity with the old homes in this neighbourhood ! and their prompt reply to our call. I cannot thank them enough for their time when we asked for help on short notice to inspect the house just as we were bidding on it. Mike assured us the house was in a good condition, this was an independent opinion off what the inspection said and supported the inspection. He clearly spelled out what renovations, timelines and costs are ahead of us. It has been 12 months since we moved in, haven't had any problems and periodically hire Maralon (MIke) to complete jobs for us (renovations etc.). Excellent work! Nello, Mike and their wonderful crew have done it again! This is the third project we have done together and it involved the full renovation of our main floor including gutting the kitchen and moving walls in our living area. The work was done on time, on budget and with meticulous precision. These are professionals whose advice and expertise you can rely on. I refer them to friends and family often and will continue to do so.

Nello came aboard to repair an improperly installed shower enclosure. Work included removal of glass enclosure, tearing out existing tiles, and fixing the shower threshold, and then replacing the shower floor. As it was a master bath, the work was done while we were out, there was minimal mess and the work was very good. We are very happy with the results. Nello is now working on a larger project for us.

We spent quite some time trying to find the perfect contractor for our kitchen and 2pc bath renovation. We knew we hit the jackpot when Mike showed up for his very first visit only to quote the job and already started fixing things on the fly (like our running toilet). We knew this was someone we could trust. Mike and Nello did a fantastic job. We always felt like we were in good hands and they were looking out for our best interests along the way. We loved getting their feedback and always trusted their opinion. We can't say enough good things about our experience with Maralon! We had a horrendous contractor experience when we renovated our main floor several years ago so this time I did my homework when choosing a contractor to redo our basement. We invited 3 companies to quote, all of whom had excellent reputations, but we chose Maralon because Mike gave us the best first impression and spoke the most knowlegably about a floor drain issue that was a huge thorn in our side. These guys started when they said they would, showed up every day and on time, finished when they said they would, AND gave me a HUGE allowances budget in the original quote which meant that the job completed about 15% under budget. Everyone at Maralon also listens and communicates really well and they're very responsive to your phone calls and emails. Mike has been back to my house twice (no charge) to fix an issue that was due to our negligence, not Maralon's workmanship. I will use these guys again when I redo my main floor bath in a year or two and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone I know who's planning a home renovation project. Thanks guys, you rock! I was desperately seeking a contractor for some small but essential jobs around the house. I needed someone immediately. Nello promptly returned my call and sent Colin the next day! They showed a lot of consideration by fitting me into their schedule. As for the job, Colin was extremely hard-working and professional. We found Maralon Construction and Design on the HomeStars website! On June of 2009, Mike and his team completed a renovation of our kitchen and bathroom. Both were approximately 20 years old and had the original fixtures in place. The work included a new kitchen, and knocking out a bathroom wall, to make one large bathroom, complete with a custom walk in tiled frameless shower. We found Mike and his team to be extremely professional. From our initial meeting, a detailed plan of action was created; and the Maralon Construction and Design team not only began the work as scheduled, but were always on time, organized; and were very efficient each day on site. They were dedicated to our project the entire time. We felt comfortable enough to give them our keys so they could enter the premises while we were at work. Mike communicated on the phone each day to give us updates, or we would meet as needed to go over the on-going project details. We found Maralon to also be very helpful in making suggestions on materials, colours and small details that only an experienced trade would know. We were extremely impressed with the level of dedication which the Maralon team gave to our project, they really know what good customer service and quality workmanship means! The project stayed on budget, and we are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. Anyone who has visited our home says it looks like a photograph in a designer’s magazine. We not only got more than we expected, but have the assurance that this work was completed in a very knowledgeable and professional manner. We would very highly recommend Maralon Construction and Design to anyone, and we plan to use them in future projects.
