I had used Leaside Handyman Service this past weekend to put together a outdoor children's play set that we had purchased. As I've read from other people, these play sets can be quite labour intensive and very frustrating at times to put together, they come with an unbelievable amount of parts. Sean and Chris spent 1.5 days putting this together and they did a fantastic job. There were a few bolts, and other pieces that were missing from the box and he went out and got what he needed to make sure it was done properly. He staked the play set to the ground to ensure that it was safe for the kids, as well as making absolutely sure that everything else was in tact too. I really appreciate his thoroughness to make sure that it was put together properly to ensure the safety factor for the kids. He also said if anything ever seemed loose to give him a call and he would come back and fix it. They were very pleasant to talk to and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them for any job you may have! They also put together 4 muskoka chairs for us, and did that quite quickly. Thank you Sean for putting this together for us, our kids are absolutely loving the play set every day!

Sean did a great job taking down a couple of walls in my small bathroom that were original to my old house and put up new drywall and moved an electrical outlet in preparation for the installation of a new vanity. The house is old and not level but he managed to level/straighten the walls! He also installed floor tile in the bathroom and did a great job at a very affordale rate. Sean is very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions in a very professional manner. I would highly recommend Sean.

Sean and his team were amazing. They came in did a great job in a timely manner and were very affordable. Would recommend them to friends and we plan to keep using them for the other projects around our house.

Can't say enough great things about Sean and his team. They tackled a variety of projects in my house, from finishing the basement, moving the circuit box, installing windows and lights, and numerous other things. He even disposed of a massive raccoon that had died under my house! Sean was always on time and excellent at communicating problems and progress. He completed his work with high attention to detail, and met all of our timelines. The pricing was very reasonable and Sean was happy to help out on items not included in his scope of work. We ended up hiring him for many other tasks beyond the initial scope of work, and I am very pleased with the finished result. He is a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond to help me out. I asked Sean to help me with a very complicated electrical job re-connecting my garage to my house by hanging several hundred feet of wiring. He came by right away and gave me a competitive quote that he guaranteed from the beginning. Even though there were complications along the way, he never came back and asked for more money or changed his quote. He was very prompt and responsive in completing the job. In the end, everything is hooked up and working again. Sean did an EXCELLENT job. I would gladly hire him for any job again in the future.

We hired Leaside handyman and landscaping to do some planting at first but also decided we needed someone fulltime. Sean came in every two weeks to pull weeds, prune shrubs and pickup leaves.He was ontime, courteous and very professional.I highly recommend leaside handyman and landscaping and plan on renewing our contract with him coming next spring.

I can't say enough good things about Sean. Great attitude and very knowledgeable about, well, it seems everything. Sean re-wired my house (and fixed what the terrible electrician I previously hired did wrong), moved some plumbing for me for safety reasons and drywalled a bedroom and basement ceiling. While he was working there, he noticed that my hot water heater had sprung a leak and he immediately fixed the problem without any extra cost. If he hadn't been there and knew what to do, my basement would have been flooded. He gave me sound advice by coming up with workable solutions that no one else had offered before and he told me when my ideas were not going to fly instead of attempting them in order to add more hours to his bill. But what I really appreciated about Sean is how he took the time to explain everything to me and didn't talk down to me or treat me like I wouldn't understand. I would absolutely recommend him and in fact almost didn't want to leave this review because I don't want him to be too busy to take my jobs!

We recently purchased a house in the East end of the city, and soon found that our basement was leaking. I contacted Leaside Handyman and Joseph (Sean's dad) quickly came over to assess the problem. After a morning of investigating, Joseph found that the damage was quite extensive. Our foundation was cracked and damaged, and as a result water had gotten into our basement walls, rotted wood, and created black mold. In order to fix the problem Joseph would have to re-pour part of our foundation, replace the basement windows and frames, waterproof the wall, install sills over the windows, and install easetroughs on the roof (since for whatever reason this had never been done).He drew up a contract with a quote, which we found to be reasonable. In addition to the work listed above, we were also interested in doing some work on the front of our house, since the siding was old and not very nice looking. Joseph suggested we re-side the house in cedar shingles, and we agreed. We signed on to the contract, and he began working right away. Throughout the job Joseph was reliable, friendly, and helpful. When I discovered that my dryer was not properly vented Joseph promptly fixed the problem at no additional charge. Likewise, when it was discovered that our hose was not working, he fixed that as well at no extra cost. Though the work did take almost 2 months to complete, I appreciated that Joseph stuck to his word and never asked us for more money, even when it turned out that the damage to our outside wall was more extensive than he had thought at the time we agreed upon the price. Overall, I would recommend Joseph, or Leaside Handyman. As a first time home buyer I found him to be an excellent support. Our basement is now dry, our foundation looks great, and our new cedar siding is terrific. Thank you, Joseph!!!
