I hired Carefree Moving to move from Burlington into our new house in Quebec City. Calling around to get quotes from other moving companies was a good idea. Carefree Moving was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive it fell in the middle at around $8,700. We chose them because of their excellent customer reviews. The team was professional and ensured we were at ease. My wife double-checked to ensure that our valuables, which include fine art and collectibles, were safe. We wanted to make sure our belongings were delivered before us. We couldn't wait for my stuff to arrive because I needed to start immediately. On this site and other websites, I have read about people who had to buy new clothing and stay in hotels because their items didn't arrive when they expected them. Carefree Moving had given us a 2-day delivery window, and we were pleased that the truck arrived on time. My mother-in-law met with the movers because we were late. She said everything was smooth. Everything arrived intact, with no damages. We are delighted with the whole experience. We're happy we went with Carefree Moving.

The company damaged a very important piece of furniture and concealed the damage. When I went to the company afterwards with photos of what had happened , they communicated that it was impossible for damage to happen if the item was wrapped. Do not trust this company if you care about your furniture or having honest people in your home.

This move had been planned months in advance - from Burlington to Windsor. A large 3 bedroom house with an expansive garage and spacious front and backyards. These guys were extraordinary! They cleared out the entire house within one day, taking everything off the property then putting everything back together the following day - truly remarkable! You couldn't ask for better service!
