My husband found out about MLS Plumbing and Mechanical Ltd via an advertisement because we wanted to install a Backwater Valve in our home basement after the Toronto 2013 floods. Michael Stieranka returned my husband’s phone calls and made a time and date to see us. During Michael’s first consultation, he explained the process meticulously, and we became impressed with his thorough knowledge of plumbing in general. After interviewing several different contractors, my husband and I decided immediately after Michael left, that we would select him over all the other plumbers we met. Our house is about 50 years old, and my husband and I felt that we could not afford to make mistakes with the existing issues in our old home. The other concern we had, is that we are newcomers from another country (Australia) and we really did not know where to begin with contractors. We decided to go with the very good first impression we got from Michael. Michael worked fast and efficiently to install the Backwater Valve on the day that we had all agreed upon. He gave me explicit instructions about applying for a Permit from Toronto City and he did all his work according to Code. Michael worked with his staff to dig the hole in the basement, worked in a neat and orderly fashion, installed the Backwater Valve and explained the maintenance process for the long term. The inspector approved and asked me if my plumber had explained everything we needed to know about the Backwater Valve, and I told the inspector that Michael had already repeated it all to us several times just to be completely confident that we understood. Michael’s patience, diligence, hard-working ethic and professionalism is outstanding. I highly commend him to anyone who needs to have everything explained in a careful manner. Michael presents invoices like a professional, and it is very encouraging and impressive to see a contractor work legally! Michael is a highly competent plumber, who is reliable and dependable. We will be constructing two new bathrooms in our family home next year, and we will only consider MLS Plumbing for future plumbing needs.

Amazing job! Mike was referred to me by a friend of mine. He did an outstanding job replacing plumbing pipes for our kitchen, hooking up dishwasher and food disposer, installing a copper pipe to supply water for our fridge. He also discovered plugged drains and fixed it in no time. His work, especially his attention to a detail, blew me away and the finished job more than exceed our expectations. He is very courteous and aware that he is working in a family home and not just a job site. He double-checked on his work making sure there is no surprise later on. Mike is a true professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for any plumbing job.

During the recent ice storm we sustained substantial damage to the water piping in our home. Our neighbor recommended we contact Mike Stieranka at MLS Plumbing. We contacted Mike and told him our problem. Although Mike was already extremely busy doing repair work for numerous other people, he fit us into his very busy schedule within a few days, which was fantastic as we hadn't had any water in our house for almost a week. Mike and his crew showed up on the day, and at the time agreed upon, assessed the damage/situation and got right to work. The workmanship, and materials used, were of the highest standards and Mike went well beyond what he had to do to get the house piping, and our water supply back together. Mike also installed a new dishwasher and toilet, replacing the ones that had been damaged by frozen water. You will not find nicer guys, who do better work if you try. These guys are fantastic and I would highly recommend Mike and his guys to anyone looking for an extremely good plumber. We are planning to do some renovations (a new bathroom) in the spring and MLS Plumbing will definitely be undertaking that work for us. Again, thanks Mike for a fantastic job. You guys are great! Micheal at MLS is a master plumber and has always provided honest estimates and does exceptional work. I have called him on very short notice and he has come after hours or made time to come and review the situation at my house. I have used MLS for fixing leaky pipes& toilets, installing new faucets and toilets,

MLS Plumbing and Mechanical provided us with quality service at a very reasonable price to fix a major problem with our drains. Also, they installed three toilets and a vanity sink. Michael explained everything to me, showed up on time, completed the job quickly and cleaned up when they were finished. This company does good work. I've used them three times so far and have never had any problems with them. Their work was even inspected by the chief Markham building inspector who was amazed by the level of work they did!
