Renovations, addition

Contract was signed with GGC LTD and project started in June of 2020, scheduled to finish at the end of January 2021.
We did an addition and renovations to our house after a flood.
Cameron (Kamron) came to the house last on Thurs Sept 14th 2021 and we spoke to him last on Monday 4th Oct,.
We have not seen or heard from Cameron or his team since.
He has been polite, well-mannered and had us believing that the job would be done professionally, finished on time and up to and exceeding standards. He told us that he was treating us “like family” and so we overlooked when he would delay giving us receipts, not return phone calls, or not showing up when he said he would and not showing up at all for weeks at a time.
His associate, Mo ( Mohammed), was just as good at avoiding issues.
I have never encountered such unprofessionalism and poor workmanship.
A ceiling vent fell on my daughter while she slept ( 3 have fallen so far), I have a living room floor that’s sunken in areas, my door frames have no flashing, can be easily kicked in and there is moisture seeping in, water is pooling in our balcony, our stand up shower leaks and the grout is washing away. We have cracks on a ceiling beam, doors that don't open and close, a dishwasher that was crookedly installed that I’m afraid to use, an exposed electrical outlet in the bathroom and a rail that was never replaced. We have drywall on the ceiling that is wet that was caused by a busted faucet that he installed, that remains. No backfill means that water flows to the foundation
These are just SOME of the safety issues.
When we complained about the cosmetic concerns including, a dirty, stained ceiling vent, a stair riser put in at an odd angle, mismatched parts on the doors, we were told…in a nice way…not to be “too picky”
We have a garage without a roof (paperwork to the city have not been submitted by GGC as agreed upon), holes in our lawn that’s littered with nails and screws (we have a dog, cat and kids), a gate bearing fencepost stuck together with a screw and some glue. and a hole on our awning where he damaged it. The tuck pointing is incomplete and so messy that it was better off not being done. The garage door that was supposed to be reused is rusting after being improperly stored.
We waited months for doors and windows. Cameron asked us to speak to the vendor that he hired. The vendor asked us why we wanted that style of windows and if we were spiting him. He said that he brought over the windows three times already…keep in mind that all three times, he had brought other windows but not what we agreed on.
I must mention that Cameron put in a 340 sq feet of sound proofing insulation and $200 worth of extra tiles in the bathroom even though we asked him to give us the cost of the extra work. I also asked him to run the cost of anything extra by me before committing. He went ahead and ordered flooring saying he would cover the cost.
He talked about putting in Swiss Madison toilets only to put in $98 toilets. We were promised Riobel faucets but were given $32 faucets. We ended up replacing them.
After 9 months of delays and no communication from Cameron we decided to fix what we could so we would be able to move in. We have just spent $3000 on garbage disposal because according to disposal company that Cameron hired, the credit card that was on file was invalid and they haven’t been able to get in touch with him. Note that debris from other projects were dumped here too. We have also contacted another vendor hired by Cameron who stated that he owed them money and they were unable to reach him.
This is a sad situation…disappointing. We had high expectations for GGC LTD. We’re done being angry and cannot wait to wash our hands of them and get on with our lives. If only he would give us the paperwork we need to complete the project on our own. We have paid him upfront for work he has not completed and we’re going to lose a lot of money and time. Our mistake, our loss.
To add insult to injury, he has posted pictures AND OUR ADDRESS on his Facebook page without obtaining permission. This is irresponsible AND a safety issue. I have written to him to remove it but he has not complied
We found him at the Home Show, spoke to references and thought he was legit. We did our homework.
Please be VERY aware of GGC LTD formerly known as Elegance Total home.

bathroom renovation

My complaint is in regards to the overall workmanship as well as the hidden cut corners we discovered after the apparent completion of the work. We hired Cameron / Kamran to renovate two of our home bathrooms as well as a few smaller jobs. At first everything seemed to be fine, he showed up for work and was very professional. We had him start work before we moved into our new home with our newborn son as we did not want to live through renovations. As time went on he was either only coming in for an hour or two or not at all. We were quoted an approximate time frame but it was impossible for him to meet as he never showed up to do the work, it took us living with the renovations for an additional 5 weeks with our family in the home. We had multiple issues with his workmanship that we addressed with him and had him redo multiple times and his response was we were being too picky. After making him redo some of his work multiple times it appeared that he just did not have pride in his work to do a better job. At this point we were so frustrated with him being in our home as we have a newborn child we just wanted him out of our home. When we thought the work was done we began to clean up in the bathrooms. We then realized that he did not fully tile our floors or paint or lay base board he just covered it all up with a vanity as he was too lazy too cut the tile to go around the plumbing joints. I have a 73 year old mother that he put a railing in the stairwell for. Needless to say she took a fall when the railing ripped out of the wall as it was not installed properly into studs or even anchored into the drywall. Cameron is fully aware of all of these issues as he knew he was cutting the corners when he was doing the work. I fully expect him not to care about this complaint as he didn't care when I spoke with him in regards to even smaller things. This complaint is to make consumers aware that this contractor is out there and should not be used.

Total Basement Reno

Elegance Total Home was referred to me by a friend and I must say that my family and I are extremely pleased and satisfied with the renovations Kamran and his team did. The job was well planned and nothing but the best high-quality materials used. Our basement looked amazing, in fact its better than upstairs. Many people who have seen our basement commented on the job well done and they are asking me for Kamran's number. To be honest, I would recommend him to anyone who wants the job done right the first time. I am so, so happy that I choose Elegance Total Home.
