Fantastic- we are incredibly extremely pleased with how the basement turned out. Ariel was great- always a pleasure to deal with and completely trust worthy. While working, Ariel found many things wrong with the basement (custom built house using what we thought was a very reputable contractor/builder) and corrected all of them without any additional charge to avoid any future problems with his work. Despite the time involved, we were always confident we would enjoy the final product as Ariel is both a consummate professional and really driven to please. Overall the process took a bit (most of the work was completed in about 4 months) but that is likely as attributable to us as it was to Ariel - we had difficulty choosing the kitchen, wanted stone on the walls that matched stone on our front gate and siding etc. It was a very big project - approximately 2400 square feet - Ariel was an integral part of planning - which constantly had to evolve - the flooring for the gym, the constant changes to the pool kitchen, all required changes on the fly. Ariel was very adaptable. Things did go wrong (as will always happen on large projects) but they were all addressed immediately. And none of them were big - our control panel for our irrigation system was enclosed without being able to properly see all of the zones (we have a ton of zones), plugs in the wall behind the aquarium (he made a built in aquarium) needed to be moved in case water ever leaked from it, some communication problems (thought he urgently needed a sink and vanity which sat around for months). Ariel always addressed any concern we had and never brought up price (unless it required more material or others to help). I'm going to try and post some pics though it looks like Ariel already did. To give you a sense of how happy I am with the work, I'm giving Ariel a 10% tip when everything is completed. Oh - I should mention that I received fives quotes - while his wasn't the cheapest, it was by far the most thorough (likely spent over two hours measuring and bringing in subs for measurements and estimates) and far from the most expensive. We had used Ariel and his crew we when we renovated our basement. We were so happy with his work, it was obvious that we would call on him again to install hardwood through the main floor. Ariel was very professional, prompt and clean when it came to the job. And when issues arose (and they always do - bad subfloor) Ariel was able to offer effective and affordable solutions. I interviewed 6 contractors from Home Stars before deciding to go with Ariel from Green Maple Home Renovations to completely tear out and rebuild two bathrooms on the second floor of our 30 year old home. We are a couple in our 30s with a young child and we plan to live in this house forever. He was extra careful about preventing water damage. His rates were very reasonable and his strengths are in building the foundation for your room (it must be his mechanical engineering background!). If there is an easy way vs a harder but better way – he will choose the better way. For example, he took the extra time to properly frame and hang the builder’s mirror in my bathroom as opposed to just gluing it to the wall even though I told him he could. He made sure our exhaust fans were properly vented to the exterior even though it meant a ton of extra work since the previous owner had not done it properly. The drain that came with my tub did not provide the best leak prevention so he used his own parts and design instead. I always try to write some areas for improvement. The tiler and painter he arranged required more supervision, some of the electrical work required a follow up visit by Ariel, and some of the finishing touches like fixtures and paint needed some touch ups afterwards by us to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Keep in mind that I am a perfectionist and things like uneven grout lines bother me, so I may be holding him to a higher standard than normal people! These issues I felt were relatively minor and I felt Ariel did everything he could to try to fix any problems and make me happy. Overall, I felt confident that my renovation would be done properly with quality and long term durability as priorities as opposed to fast and cheap. He’s the kind of hardworking person that you call when someone else has screwed up your reno – he will do it right. I would recommend him to my friends and family.

Ariel is a very professional contractor. As soon as I met him, I knew that he was the right contractor and the right Company to accomplish my renovation project. He is a very polite, courteous and fair person and his prices were reasonable. His job was excellent and he finished on time and on budget. Ariel is that contractor difficult to find in this business and once you find him, you won’t let him go. He is the only person I will call for my future projects. When I first contacted Ariel I had already finished a project in my basement but I was not happy with the finishings; He was recommended by some friends who suggested I gave him a call, they had heard me complained of poor quality and aesthetics of my basement by another contractor. Ariel came to my house and I explained to him what I needed to fix and change; for him no job is too small, insignificant or simple, he is always ready to give a solution or idea. Ariel did a very good job, I'm very satisfied, the quality and speed with which he took over the projects. Since then I always call him when I have a new idea and get his inputs as well. I have always had issues with contractors, when they don't show up in time or take longer to do a job and charge extra. Finally I found a honest and excellent contractor that does clean and very good work. Thank You Ariel for the job you had done in my kitchen. Removing all the tiles and replacing with marbel tiles. We had a baby in the house and Ariel kept it very neat and organized while the renovations took place. The job was done in time and was perfect.
