I called Magic touch flooring to get my floors installed laminate and carpet. I was considered about my furniture because it was big and heavy.Mike made it easy for my wife and i , he assured us that it will be taken care of. Moved furniture, got floors installed, nice and clean, very friendly and understanding team. i would recommend it to anyone that's looking for a nice neat job.

Glad I found this site to warn other potential customers! Even though we did end up resolving things with Mike, it was after an entire month of getting the runaround. Dealing with Mike from Magic Touch Flooring was not a positive experience, unfortunately. It was disturbing to be treated in such a way after paying almost $3,500 promptly (and in cash) for a mostly terrible installation job. On October 15, 2012, Mike and his team from Magic Touch Flooring installed laminate flooring and carpet in our home. Upon completion of the job, we were happy with the job done on the main floor but dissatisfied with the job done in the basement. Mike blamed this on the uneven concrete in the basement, but he didn't even contact us before laying down planks on the uneven concrete to avoid all of the issues created. He instead proceeded without letting us know and the result was a terrible installation job. We were understanding at first because he assured us that just a small area would be affected (around the pole in our basement, as shown in the picture). But the planks were very bouncy in a larger area than he said would be affected. Also, because they had to repeatedly lift up planks, the corners of many of the planks are lifted (shown in pictures). And to top it all off, someone from the team broke our TV in the process. Mike agreed to pay for the repair of the TV in the amount of $375 (we were actually nice about this since actual cost for repair was $428). He also agreed to try and repair the poor installation job in the basement. He sent another worker to try to fix the problems on October 24, 2012, but the repairs did not fix the issues. In some ways the result was worse because Mike didn't provide his worker with new planks - his worker was forced to use the existing ones that were already lifted in the corners. Also, because he didn't have new planks and had to make due with what was already installed, planks had noticeable tears (shown in picture). We once again voiced our concerns. Mike then agreed to instead install carpet in the area with problems. He was scheduled to come back sometime the following week, by October 31 at the latest, but did not show up even after several attempts to get him to commit to a date. Finally, we were able to get him to agree to come at the end of the week ending November 9, but he ended up he did not showing once again. After voicing our extreme dissatisfaction with his 100% guarantee and his obvious attempts to avoid us, on November 12 he agreed to return some of our funds for the installation job and provide us with the carpeting and other supplies he was going to install to fix the original installation job. He agreed to pay $125 because he charged us extra for the removal of ceramic tiles and ended up not removing all of them (later he claimed he did remove all of them until we told them we saw them still there when his worker lifted the planks in the area to attempt to fix the extreme unevenness - we thought that was pretty dishonest!), as well as $125 for the overall poor installation job. Mike agreed to meet us at our home to pay this amount on November 14, but did not show up once again claiming to be stuck on another project for an unknown amount of time (then why did he tell us he was coming?), instead promising my husband to send an email money transfer for $625. Mike said that he sent the money transfer on November 15, but it never came. Finally, after contacting the Better Business Bureau, we were able to get Mike to pay us the money he agreed to pay us by November 19. However, because of how long it took to resolve everything and the poor results that we are still left with in our home as shown in the pics, we would never recommend him to anyone. Also, he doesn't stick to the price quoted. the initial quote was around $2800, but then the second time he came it all of a sudden became $3300. He took measurements both times, so I'm not quite sure how the second quote ended up being $500 more. Also, during the carpet installation, he said the risers came off and he had to pay someone else to do the installation (?), costing us an additional $125! We shouldn't have paid this because that wasn't t our problem, but we were naive. It's just too bad we didn't hire someone more honest. Also, he removed closet doors for the installation and claimed he shaved the bottoms so that they would fit above the laminate, but he didn't! Something else we have to fix even though we paid for "professional" services. Hopefully you can learn from our mistakes!

Using Mike and Magic Touch Flooring for our flooring renovation was a superb experience. Firstly, Mike’s quote was the most competitive and clearly detailed one that we received. There were no surprises or additional costs during or after the installation. Mike was very professional, courteous and went out of his way to please us and address all of our concerns through the booking process and installation. Mike and his crew worked extremely hard and almost nonstop on the day of the installation; everyone who has seen the new floors has commented on how beautiful they look. Mike also provided very helpful advice on the materials and clear explanations on any questions we asked regarding the installation. My wife was thoroughly pleased. What surprised me the most was that Mike went out to purchase a brand new vacuum to clean our home after the installation, because his other unit was at another job site. I would highly recommend Mike and Magic Touch Flooring.

We shopped around at many places before choosing flooring for my new house and is like over 3500 sqft magic touch flooring had both the best product and the best pricing. We went into the store numerous times and every time the sales staff were very helpful and patient with us. Installation was done on time and done right. We were very impressed. We then referred magic touch flooring to a neighbour and they had a great experience as well and also said they had the best price

I had my living room floor done hardwood by Magic Touch Flooring, and had a great experience with them.Got my installation done with in 48 hours.I shopped around the GTA to see if i can find a better deal but didn't find any. I would like to say that i would not recommend this company to anyone at all including friends,family or anyone else as he will try to work around things to make a job easier for himself when installing flooring in your house and try to give you any excuse possible not to do it and then when you try to call him regarding a problem or issue u have with the installation he will hang up on you or won't talk about it or try to come to a resolution to make the customer happy... We are saying this because we had asked him clearly to install the same flooring that he was installing on the bedroom floor to be put inside the closet in the bedrooms and he refused it and didn't seem he wanted to do the work probably cause it would have took him a bit and now our closets don't open or close correctly at all because the track is uneven... So once again to anyone looking for a flooring company i would suggest you not go with them and as well he does not stick to a price that he quotes you over the phone..

I as an installer know what has to be done and what cant be done, You were asking for us to install the laminate under the tracking of the closet, and we explained to you that it cant be done because the closet door wont close anymore and u agreed with us and told us you were satisfied with the work we did.When you tried to call us, We were explaining to you the line got cut off we tried calling back a msg that its unavaliable and we never heard from you again.If you want us to come back and see what we can do about it, we'll be more then happy.
