It was the summer of 2002 and we decided to have a pool installed, we knew nothing about the process other than it had to be a salt water system and were just sitting there with an open cheque book and received 3 quotes. We had to beg the first company to come and look at our yard and then sit back when they gave us nothing but negative feed back with regards to the grade of our property and how much it was going to cost. The second company refused to install a salt water pool as they had not been proven to be effective (even though we had enjoyed one in Florida for the past 7 years) they said NO WARRANTY at all, OH and they were the most expensive! The third company seemed to be the most accommodating but I still felt uneasy and we had to make our decision quickly. A good friend of ours was telling a co-worker about our situation and that co-worker suggested that we contact the good folks at Classic Pools as they had installed their pool 5 years earlier. They loved dealing with them and the pool had been installed promptly and had been problem free for the past 5 years. I remember it like it was yesterday. I called early morning and my message was returned within an hour by Martine, I told her that I did not want to waste any of her time and gave her the run down on what we were planning and deciding. She said that it would not be a waste of her time and went to our house that afternoon and had a look, after sizing up our property she then came to my office with a hand drawn diagram of what she felt would work. I liked what I saw and said that I would need 24 hours to think about it. I went home that night to find Greg in my back yard measuring and looking around. He spoke to me like a friend and did not try to sell anything, he said that it would not be like work but would be like playing in my yard and making a masterpiece. The next night both Martine and Greg arrived at our house with their proposal and quote. It was then that I asked Greg how long he and his team were going to disrupt our lives not to mention our Dog Archie and he said 3 weeks, I asked to have that in writing and his response was (you have my word) and extended his hand. From that point I knew that we were dealing with a company that had integrity. BTW they were finished 2 days early! From the first day to the last they conducted themselves in a professional manor and I have to say that ten years later our pool is still a master piece. Anyone can build you a pool that will look good and blow your mind upon completion but not everyone can do it so that a decade later still people arrive at our home and stand there speechless just looking at our yard. I would be happy to let anyone come and see what kind of condition my pool is in after ten years of use and once you see it you will be asking where to sign. jdd1963@hotmail.com OH I forgot ...... They over estimated on the amount of stone that was going to be used and gave us a refund after the job had been paid for in full! Now that goes a long way with me. After purchasing a new home in Pickering, I knew there was only one way to elevate it from the other surrounding ‘cookie-cutter’ homes; and that was by the landscaping. Personal recommendations led me to Classic Pools and Landscaping. From Greg and Martine's very first consultation with me, I was amazed at their vision for the entrance and how they were able to incorporate our wish list whilst elevating the entrance to something esthetically pleasing and inviting. During the completion of the entrance, Greg's hard working landscaping team drew intense interest from neighbours and onlookers as people came by to see their astonishing work. Not only are we thrilled with the transformation of our entrance from a boring construction grade concrete entrance to a warm and stunning walkway to our home but we were also utterly impressed by the level of care, experience and expertise shown by Greg, Martine and their team. It was a life-ling dream of mine to have a pool and when we finally bought a house with a yard that was big enough we hired Classic Pool and Landscaping to make our dream a reality. I can't say enough about the service and the entire process. The design was beautiful, the construction process was quick and painless and the result was everything we dreamed of. When we had a minor issue that needed following up, Greg was there in a flash. And the landscaping is stunning -- we admire it daily. I know a few people that have a Classic Pool and like me, it is a "no regrets" situation. I am going to try and figure out how to get a photo on this site -- my pool really speaks for itself...

If your planning on getting a pool/landscaping, a must call is Classic Pools. Don't be taken by other Companies and their smooth talkers and fancy quotes with landscaped drawings. Two recommendations: ask for a referral and compare the work with a competetor, and TRUST Greg and Martine, you will be very glad you did. Their recommendation to go with a white liner, the shape of the pool for my backyard, the colour and type of stone, etc... I absolutely questioned him (I couln't resist ) but in the end I'm glad I listened. Excellent experience. Thanks, Rob & Deanna

We shopped around for different quotes for building an in-ground pool. Our first quote was from another competitor of Classic Pools. We were less than satisfied. We later had an interview with the representative of Classic Pools. We were absolutely amazed with how much knowledge she had. The interview process lasted at least a couple of hours. By the end of it, we had all our questions answered thoroughly. Needless to say, we were convinced that Classic Pools was by far the best choice. We liked the portfolio they provided for their work. We were offered the usual variety of shapes, but we had our own plan, which they easily accepted and built. The building process was clean and efficient. The crew always made sure that all tools and equipment were put away safely. They were also very patient with our demands and offered alternatives to fulfill our demands. Further, they were able to meet their target deadline, even under wet conditions. We found the entire experience with Classic Pools exciting. They gave us a great way to enjoy our short summers.
