Complete House Move and Organization

10 years ago I moved into a new house. The move was exhausting and at then end of the day I was facing a giant wall of unorganized & unlabeled boxes. Anxiety quickly set in because my mother-in-law would arrive from overseas in 3 days. In desperation I called the amazing ladies at Good Riddance. Heather made time for me right away and whipped my 2000 square foot house into shape in just 3 days. I vowed never to move again without them.
Last year we bought a new house and I immediately called Heather again. This time I contracted them to pack up my old house, organize and manage the movers, and the unpack and organize the new place. I was very fortunate that Heather’s daughter Brittany had joined the team. She showed up every day on time with a positive and energized attitude that kept me motivated. The team was fast discrete and pleasant to be around. In addition to organizing my closet, linen cupboard, all bathrooms, pantry and kitchen cupboards, Brittany hung my artwork and created a phenomenal family wall for all our photos.
Because we started with a very well organized home we have been able to keep it tidy and maintain the systems put into place. Even the kids put things away because everything is labeled and has a proper home. It is rare for someone you don’t know very well to have impacted your daily life to the degree Good Riddance has impacted ours! I would not hesitate to recommend them for a move, a down-size, or an estate clean up. I am happily addicted to organizing.

Just perfect

This company was recommended to me by my close friend and I decided to try it. I had an issue with apartment renovation. They have really friendly tech. personnel and representatives. The job was done fast and reliable!

Good Riddance

They did an excellent job helping us downsize to a small cozy new apt. My spouse’s 2 wheelchairs and motorized lift and clearance for his 3.5 ft motorized wheelchair were part of the “fit” equation. Perfect job. So glad we used them.

Downsizing

The Good Riddance team was amazing at helping us clear out our parents house where they had lived for over 40 years and where we grew up. We needed to sort out the house and get it ready to sell after our parents had to move to assisted living. We absolutely could not have kept our sanity and got the job done it in the time frame we did without Good Riddance. They were so efficient and knowledgeable and innovative. They are environmentally conscious and diverted so much stuff to recycling and because we couldn't donate anything anywhere due to the pandemic, they helped get rid of stuff using social media. They were also very kind and sympathetic because at times it was emotional and overwhelming for us. We would absolutely recommend them and hire them again. Worth every nickel we spent.

Decluttering and packing

Brilliant company! Heather and her team sorted through a LOT of stuff that was too overwhelming for me to do alone and we packed what I would need in my new place. Friendly, happy folk who went over and beyond what I expected. I can't say enough great things about them!

Packing to Renovate

Absolutely loved having the help of the Good Riddance team. On-time, respectful, thoughtful, problem solvers and all round angels. Thank you for helping pack up our kitchen and help us to get ready to renovate.

Downsize to Harmony Court then on to George Derby Centre

After 19 years at the same address I used GR to downsize and organize at my new Independent Living home. GR sorted out my years of clutter with ease and efficiency. In no time I was sorted out, moved and organized comfortably at the new place. The weight of years of "junk" was lifted from my shoulders.

After 2 years it was time for a move to long term care. Again GR took charge and made my move from one lockdown situation to another as smooth as glass. As a handicapped senior, arranging moves, choosing what to take, what to donate, what to trash becomes an unmanageable nightmare. GR offers a fast smooth transition including seamless connections with trash removers, cleaning services, etc.

I could not think of a single negative comment while writing this review.

Starting the intial sorting work on my Mom's home after she passed away.

I could not have imagined my having accomplished what I did in my Mom's home after she died with out the professional guidance and hard work of Susan Borax from Good Riddance. She was shoulder to shoulder with me, kind,supportive but focused. There truly is a strategy (perhaps even a science) to this cleaning out process and she helped me set the stage for the big job a head of me. Nothing cookie cutter about it. She took me as I am. Immeasurably kind,empathetic but always purposeful. Her professionalism and warmth kept me going. By the time she left that day I had zones of work broken down and there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
