    beginner sculpture in paverpol

I had a great time on Sunday and really like my Rebecca. I appreciate the time you took to settle my little melt down I was having when we started with the Paverpol. I liked the location (only blocks from my granddaughter but how could you know that). Good lighting and enough space to work and just the right amount of students. I would like to suggest, especially for those who are travelling, that plastic bags be included on the supply list. When I got to my sons place we took out our ladies to show them and just in the few blocks the dresses had started to cling to the block so we stuffed some plastic bags up under the skirts in an effort to keep the fullness. For the most part that worked until we got them home. Rosanne and I will be planning another trip to take a course perhaps in the Fall , we will be watching your class schedules. Thanks again for a great day. Janice

    Paverpol Garden Sculpture

Brenda is a very bubbly positive person who makes it a joy to create! I had a lot of fun in her class. It's worth the money! In only one day we created a lovely garden sculpture. She has inspired me to do more and create more.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you Michaelea. You were fun to have in the class too. How does it get any better than my wonderful students? Thank you for being in my class.

One day class in use of paverpol to create indoor/outdoor item

I LOVED the class. We had the supplies we needed and the inspiration of some examples and the work of other students. We were free to use our own ideas and were guided pleasantly along the way. I loved having a finished product at the end of the class!! I am inspired to continue with this product and classes from this teacher, Brenda Topley. Wow!

Thank you Sharon. I loved the piece you made with her little basket of flowers. You have already inquired about another class and I wook forward to seeing you there. How does it get any better than this?

Making figures and sculptures out of metal rods, electrical wire, tinfoil, masking tape, different types of cloth and a special liquid product called Paverpol.

I have taken five (5) classes from Black Sheep Design Studio. I feel the cost of each class is fair. Brenda is a very good and very thorough teacher. I always learn many new things each time I attend one of her classes. I come home with a completed product and feel confident that I can make more from what I learned. Her classes and instructions are easy to understand. She is so enthusiastic about her product and what she can do with it and she is a FUNNY lady. IF my mother were living, I would SO RECOMMEND this company to her. My only criticism would be that she FILLS the class with so many goals and expectations of her students that it is sometimes hard to keep up when you are as old and tired as I am!

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your review. I fill my class with 12 people other wise I would have to charge more per student as when I travel I have hotel room, class room and other expenses. I always group students by beginner, intermediate and advance as this is the easiest for me to talk to them as a group to help them with their projects. It is very hard to give written instructions as everyone comes up with an ideas as they are building their piece. This is a way for them to see through their eyes and create their vision. When doing a beginner piece I highly suggest students do NOT come in with ideas and just let them see where it will take them. They are learning what paverpol is all about and how it works. If they come in with a pre concieved idea and they don't know the product it is some times disappointing as we can not do the piece that way in a beginner class. Once they know the product YES by all means come in with an idea and we can help execute it.

    beginner class

Would have liked some written instructions - especially about the product. I got home and by the next day had forgotten which product I bought did what. The instruction was excellent. Thanks Brenda.

    paverpol sculpture

You are a very talented teacher, attentive to each individual registrant regardless of ability. Your energy is contagious and stories very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and the product was amazing. My suggestion are that a apron and a box with paper or a towel for packing the model be recommended on the bring list. My doll fell over several times during my 40 minute drive home. I was a distracted driver! I had to pull the skirt apart when I got home.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your suggestion I will mention abou ta box or something for prople to take their sculpture home.

I totally enjoyed the class.Brenda was great and very helpful. I am looking forward to next class and perhaps a Retreat! Yes, an apron would be a very good idea.

    craft projects

I enjoyed the class, but found by the end of the day I was getting tired and disinterested. Brenda was entertaining with lots of stories, she needs to be careful not to get so focused on telling her stories that people who need to ask questions about the project can get a word in edgewise. I appreciated her talent and experience in directing us how to create the project. I found after the class I was noticing more how people's heads are shaped and what possibilities the product could be used for.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your review. I do sometimes get carried away with stories and will be more aware of that in the future. If you have any questions about how to do something please e-mail me and I will be happy to answer them.

Learned the use of Paverpol & made one item

I totally enjoyed the day. The company was great, the location and amenities were excellent. The instruction was easy to understand and when it wasn't clear, ample assistance was provided. I am thrilled with the ornament I made and am anxious to start another with the supplies I purchased. I would suggest that it be noted on future registration information to either bring an apron or wear older clothing. I forgot to add the name of my doll to your form so I shall do it now. Her name is Josie. She was one of the two angels made that day. Thank you, Vickie Hill

    Answer from pro:

I think you are right I better make sure to add bring an apron or old clothes. We tend to get a bit messy. Thank you Vickie.
