Inspection of basement mould

Most other companies wanted to charge $125-$150 to inspect my basement. Canada Restoration came to give a free estimate. Alex arrived on time and was really, really helpful. He assessed the situation and patiently explained to me how to deal with the problem myself. He even wrote down the materials I needed. He gave me his card and offered to answer any questions I have along the way. It was a rare honest assessment from a contractor whose advice was for me not to use their services because it wasn't necessary.

Flood-Washing Machine

I was in Toronto to be with my mother in law who was very ill. We had a flood in the laundry room and called Canada's Restoration. They were there within 35 minutes and helped me, over the phone, to turn off the water. Honestly they were the most efficient and professional company I have ever used. Do yourself a favor and call them as they are the best!

What could this company do to improve their services?: Set realistic expectations about timing with the client and about possible extent of damage.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?: Get several estimates and ensure the company provides a best and worst case scenario estimate because with mold damage, it may not be clear how extensive the damage is until they start ripping out walls and floors.
