I found Todd right here in Home Stars. I was planning on having quite a bit of renovation done to my home, which included the kitchen, hardwood flooring, and tiling. The hardwood flooring was to be the biggest job and I wanted the perfect contractor for it. I did my homework and got 3 quotes just for the flooring. Todd was well-priced, and definitely in the range I was willing to spend; however, it was his personality and great customer service that won him the job. He is courteous, professional, and gave me a quote in less than 24 hours. I should mention that his customer service started as soon as he met with me. He took his time to get to know me and even enjoyed playing with my puppy. I think it is important to get to know a worker that is going to be coming and going at-will in your home. I did like his products and ended up choosing an engineered hardwood oak floor. Love the floor! It has passed all the tests with my pets! The variety in its color, the grain, and the overall style is so attractive! This floor is going to get better as it gets older and that is why I chose it. Except for the painting/patching of the walls and baseboard, the renovations are done. The more I look at my floor, the more I love it. Todd was so patient: I had a hard time making up my mind at first. He was kind enough to drop the samples off to my home, pick them up when he needed them, and drop them off again just so that I could compare them with color samples for my kitchen. How is that for customer service? He was also easy to reach. I would text him, and he would reply almost right away. If you want to hire a contractor and be able to forget about him until the starting date, Todd is that guy: I never had to worry about him not showing up or arguing with me about the job. If I had a question or concern, it was addressed right away. Todd is a stress-free contractor! He is also a craftsman: my floor had so much variety of tones that it took a skilled worker to puzzle it together. I wonder if his inspiration came from the kind of music he was listening to while working. He also cut and installed my baseboard, making sure to cut it nicely to match the discrepancy in levels where the wood met the tiles. He also had to deal with crooked walls (thanks to the house builder!) and stairwells that were not quite straight. Everything is now perfect, and everything was done and finished on time. When you hire Todd, you get the 5-star treatment and result. Without hesitation, I would hire him again.

Todd has completed two contracts in our home. I would hire him again and have recommended him to others. In addition to being professional and timely in his work, Todd provided information about various woods, finishes, and longevity, advice and suggestions about design, comparisons between products, and information about the processes used by his suppliers. I appreciate that he chooses his suppliers carefully and that he has good access to Canadian product. Todd took time to answer questions. He took interest in our personal tastes and lifestyle that influenced flooring choice. Todd approaches his work as a craftsman, paying attention to detail and quality, We talked on a couple of occasions about character, coloration, and markings in the wood I chose. It was delightful to see that Todd paid attention to board choice during the installation, showcasing some unique pieces. I continue to be pleased with the product and the work.

Spoke with Todd at the home show, and had an immediate impression of both professionalism and an easy going manner. Having family who work in the flooring business (carpet & lino) I'm not often impressed, but I was with these guys. Looking forward to getting some cork and hardwood in the near future.

I love my new floors! I had to have my carpet removed because of my asthma. I was not sure what floor to get or what was best for my asthma. I looked around on-line and found Todd and Masterpiece Hardwood Flooring. Todd suggested that I install cork flooring. He explained why cork was a good option and also supplied me with information on the cork flooring. I found out that Cork is antimicrobial due to the presence of suberin, a naturally occurring substance that reduces growth of mold, mildew, bacteria, and other allergens. The hard surface makes it easy to clean with a dust mop, and even though it is a porous material, the finish prevents pockets where allergens can collect. It has been over a month since my floors have been installed and I love them. Todd came to the house and installed the floors on the day he said he would and completed them in the time frame he gave me. He was very professional and helpful. I would and have recommended Masterpiece Hardwood Flooring to anyone who is needing to have new flooring installed.

We first met Todd at the homeshow and we were immediately impressed with his professionalism and commitment to customer service. We had about 1200 ft.² above grade, including a tricky spiral staircase, and 800 ft.² below grade that needed to be completed in a tight schedule. Todd's quote came back first and was the most detailed, giving us confidence that the job would be completed without any additional expense. In the end, everything worked out and the project was completed before we moved in. We are enjoying our floors every day. We're new to Calgary so we feel fortunate to have had Todd complete our project. We would recommend Masterpiece Flooring to anyone who needs their floor done.

Todd installed exotic hardwood flooring throughout our 2 storey home. He was a very hard worker, clean and conscientious. His work was high quality with a very reasonable price. He also installed engineered hardwood flooring in our basement as a second project two years later. Again, an excellent job at a reasonable price.

Todd was absolutely fantastic! I can't recommend him highly enough. We have renovated three homes in the past two years and from the dozens of trades people we have worked with, Todd was the ONLY trade we would recommend without hesitation. In terms of timeliness, flexibility, dependability, workmanship and quality, he was exceptional in all areas. He does not sell cheap products and his price is definitely more than what you'd find at a box store like Home Depot, but if you are looking for a floor for your own home, it's definitely worth the extra price to have a floor that is durable and looks beautiful. We renovated our entire home and the first thing people comment on when they see our renos is our new wood floors. Thanks Todd for the fantastic job on our new floors. We love them!

I had all 3 floors in home done by Masterpiece Hardwood. Hardwood was installed in the main and top floors plus Vinyl- cork in the basement. All of it looks fantastic. When looking for a contractor to complete this work, Todd was the only one that listened to my needs for my home and then brought in samples. He made recommendations and after installation I still was satisfied with my choices (no buyers regret). He was very flexible with my moving furniture from room to room. I highly recommend Masterpiece Hardwood.

Well where does one begin. The service that Todd provides is excellent! We started off going to a big box store and were very disappointed with not only the seervice but the lack of choices we had. After reading the reviews of Masterpiece Hardwood we called Todd over. Not only did he have the product we wanted (product we had yet to see anywhere else) he came in well under the big box stores price. Before he left he also re-calculated the square footage rather than just going with what the big box store said we would need. Todd found that we actually did not need as much as they said we would which only reinforces Todds honesty and integrity. As for the install itself, Todd was meticulous and left the site neat and tidy after everyday. Despite the fact that he was ill during the install he was still able to get it done in a timely manner. We would highly recommend Todd to anyone looking to get a great hardwood floor installed!!! The floor gets lots of compliments from guests and we are extremely happy with the outcome of our renos.
