My garage door is 22 yrs old and the bracket that links the door to the chain mechanism was failing. Curtis replaced this with a more secure bracket, adjusted the tension of the motor, and lubricated all moving parts. He explained each step and resolved all issues.

We recently had a new garage door installed. We had an issue with a part on our opener (previously purchased - NOT installed by DD). We knew this was not a warranty issue. Service Tech Mike arrived, fixed the issue and was really excellent in explaining as he worked, taking the time necessary to ensure the settings from the controller were set properly, and replaced the weather stripping on the bottom of the door, due to a shipping issue (no charge / under warranty). It would be great if everyone in the Service Industry was as knowledgeable and helpful as Mike. Employee of the Month. We have used Door Doctor at our previous home in Barrhaven and now in North Dundas. Sales and Service continue to be excellent.

Called last Saturday to repair garage door that did not open. I was told that it would cost double ($320 + tax) for someone to come out and look at it. Since it was on a weekend, they couldn't give me an free estimate. We informed the call-back person that we thought it was the cables and possibly the spring. The repair person determined that the cables we fine but the spring was broken. He added a temporary clamp to allow the door to open and close. However, he didn't have the replacement spring. To fix the garage door, Door Doctor informs us we need to pay the labour fee for the upcoming appointment to fix the spring. This labour fee wouldn't have been charged if the spring was available for the emergency call. We were never informed during the phone call on the 30th, or by the repair person, that an additional labour cost would be charged if the necessary parts weren't in the truck. After agreeing to pay the emergency visit fee, why are we now being told we need to pay additional labour charge?

End to end it was a simple and easy transaction and the work done was top quality. Justin arrived right on time and did fantastic work to remove my very old existing door swing out door and replace with a perfectly installed new insulated roll-up garage door. Very happy and would definitely recommend.

On August 30, 2019, Tyler arrived on-time and installed our new garage door. Prior to installation he explained exactly what he was going to do and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. Great Job Tyler!!!! Thank You very much.

Jamie was professional, meticulous, and friendly. The work was done very well, and in a timely fashion. The door now opens and closes much more quietly and smoothly than before.

The company was called because of the garage door was not opening. Their technician said that the springs were broken on two doors. They changed the springs, but after 3 weeks the doors were jerking when it comes to a stop. Called the company and spoke to David - the person is extremely loud, rude and aggressive. Sent another technician who looked at the door for a minute and walked of saying I do not care. Called another company to fix the problem who noted that the springs used were the wrong size and different lengths. Called Door Doctor again - the woman banged the phone down when customer asked to speak to the owner.

The visit to take measurements for the door was painless and with no pressure. For the installation date it was -24 and thought they might cancel on my but the installer (Mathieu) came through on time and got it all done throughout the day. Big props to him!
