My wife and I interviewed nine contractors before deciding on Oak Ridge Custom Homes. Jason and his team did a wonderful job, and we are quite happy with the end result. The scope of the project involved taking down structural walls to achieve an open concept look, replacing all our flooring from carpet to site-finished hardwood floors, remodelling our kitchen and bathrooms, new staircase, all new trim, painting, and more. This project took 5 months to complete, which was a just a bit longer than estimated. Budget-wise, we went over what we had planned on spending; however, we did add to the original project. Make sure to negotiate all costs before hand and beware of “while-you’re-at-it”s, and you should have no surprises. There were a few hiccups along the way (we weren’t too happy with the painter), but Jason could always be reached to deal with issues that arose. We are thankful for his patience and guidance throughout the process. Jason and his team were professional, courteous, and friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely give him a call when we plan our next project. Thank you Jason and team for our beautiful house transformation!

Jay and his team worked on our Toronto home in the summer of 2012. They completely gutted the back of the house to build a new kitchen/backyard walk-out along with a 2nd storey addition above. We were thrilled with their work as they were respectful and meticulous with their clean-up at the end of every day and they were always pleasant to deal with. We were also as very pleased with the guidance in terms of materials/finishes as it became overwhelming at times and they were so knowledgeable. We felt they were efficient, timely and they helped us create the home we always envisioned. We have already passed along a few referrals to people in our neighbourhood who have seen their work!

My wife and I had been on the hunt for a qualified contractor for almost a year. Let me first start by saying it was wonderful to work with such an honest and caring man. We had received a few quotes and this not being our first renovation, we were aware of the potential for problems and increase in costs. Jason's quote was the second highest we received. He was detailed, knowledgeable and easy to get a hold of and answered all our questions and concerns. Moving forward we did run into some issues but all costs and options were presented before moving forward. We did go over budget but most of that was from changes, product upgrades, electrical and plumbing upgrades. The home we purchased is approximately 100 years old, you would never know walking through the front door. This spring we will have Jason and his team back to complete the outside with stone and stucco and our landscaping. It is a pleasure to write a positive review for Oakridge Custom Homes; Thank you for all your hard work because of you the whole experience was tolerable...we love our home!!!!

After several years of living through small renovations, we decided to completely gut and renovate our 1896 home. Given that it is an older home that has been in our family for many years, we wanted to ensure that we found the right builder to restore it with care and shared vision. We interviewed several builders prior to making our decision. We are SO happy that we decided to go with Jason and Oak Ridge Custom Homes. From the very beginning, Jason's responsiveness, attention to detail and organizational skills put us at ease. We did not have to call to check in on progress or status because he contacted us nearly every day to keep us informed at each stage of the project. As busy people (moving, working and pregnant), this gesture was so significant in alleviating stress and allowing us to enjoy the process. The project involved gutting and transforming all three floors, (insulating, drywall, flooring, all new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, basement waterproofing and all finishes). The tradespeople working with Jason were always pleasant, respectful and highly skilled. they had to work around us at the completion of the project because we had a baby and had to move back in and they were careful to value our space and keep the intrusion to a minimum. The finished product is absolutely stunning, the "before and afters" astonishing. Jason has managed to give us all the comforts and beauty of a new house while maintaining the traditon of this 100 year old home. It's bright, spacious and the work is of high quality. We have gotten a lot of favourable feedback from friends about the custom elements of the home and the beautiful trimwork. We are unbelievably pleased with how things turned out and have no regrets. Overall, working with Jason and his team was akin to working with a very good friend. He was easy-going and professional- we trusted him a great deal and he kept on task and budget. He was very fair, helpful and thoughtful. When small problems came up, he addressed them immediately, shielding us from any undue stress or worry. My wife and I have wanted to do these renovations in our home for so long but were reluctant because of all the horror stories. We interviewed six different contractors. Jason was recomended by a co-worker, apon meeting with him we felt very comfortable with what he was purposing. From start to finish he and his trades were professional and curtious. The renovation was a huge success and we would deffinately recommend jason to anyone needing renovations.

The master and main bathroom was 25 years old and still had the original carpet,cabinetry,sink tub and shower. During the initial consultation, we realized the added value Oakridge offered versus competitive bidders was their creative and strategic approach to our understanding our needs. Throughout each of the design, estimating, demolition,removal and installation stages, they kept us informed and aware of anything that would change or inconvenience us. Their on time and on budget delivery of the project makes it easy for us to recommend them to other friends and acquaintances.
