Liam and his crew were very professional. They complete the job on budget and on time which was very much appreciated. What we liked the best was that there was open discussion on the project and that things happened when they said it would happen. We hired Good Looking Homes to stain our deck, and clean up & apply sealant to the entire backyard fence. They showed up right on time on the day, all dressed in company t-shirts, and did an amazing job! We are absolutely satisfied with the final results, and appreciate their courtesy of coming back the next day to check and finish the job with some minor touch-ups. Do not be fooled by their young faces, these people are true professionals who know what they are doing! With this type of work attitude, the company's success is just a matter of time.

It was a good idea to seal the fence as staining a fence is a lot more labor intensive and requires more future maintenance. I found Good Looking Homes right here on Homestars. We had a tight timeline and 3 ambitious projects to knock off in a short period of time. Not only did these incredible guys get the work done on time they actually managed to complete an additional interior renovation that was on my wish list - all within the tight deadlines. I appreciated the fact that Liam, my main contact here said they don't linger with projects. They provide the manpower necessary to complete the job as soon as reasonably possible without ever being spread to thin. What a refreshing change from the way so many other contractors work where they take on too many jobs and the work seems to move at a snail's pace. By the way I would rate communication 10/10. Liam was ALWAYS available to discuss project details at all points through the work. The guys that were here were some of the hardest working guys I have come into contact with. They were even willing to stay late on certain days just to make sure we stayed on our timeline. I can't say thank you enough to these guys for really going the extra mile to get everything complete. Now about the work that was done. We did a rebuild of our back deck, and front porch. The workmanship of the carpenters onsite is second to none. Every cut was precise, and every joint was flush. Like any project new ideas sometimes come up, and these guys never fell short of incredible ones to really make these projects stand out. When I surprised the guys with one last item on my wish list there were no grumbles, just assurances that we can get everything I'd like done. The last item on the wish list was a shared laundry centre at the base of my basement stairs. The laundry would be shared between a basement tenant, and the upstairs residents. The work required involved taking out a wall, moving the basement door out a few inches, and running all new plumbing, electrical, and dryer vent to this new location. The end result of all these projects is nothing short of amazing, and I couldn't be happier with result. To Liam, Stu, Luis and all the guys that came by and worked SO hard to help us reach our dreams, thank you, thank you, thank you. People these guys are the real deal, and reasonably prices. Call them, you won't regret it.

We hired Good Looking Homes for a difficult project and were very happy with the result. We required a fence with a motorized gate across the back of our property. We live downtown so security was a concern; the gate is at the rear of a Japanese garden so the gate needed to fit into the view aesthetically; we wanted the gate to be motorized for ease of access. The property is 23 feet across and the gate allows an eleven foot entry width. Liam and Stu and the crew worked very hard to meet all of these difficult requirements with good humor, ingenuity and great skill to accomplish a gate that we are very pleased with. We recommend them absolutely to anyone requiring fence or gate work and especially for Cabbagetowners who often have to park through difficult lane entryways and need specialized solutions. My wife and I asked Good Looking Homes to rebuild some very poorly constructed steps at the side of our house. The men arrived when scheduled, disassembled the steps and rebuilt them. In the middle of that job, they offered to reset an interlocking stone path for a small increase in the cost. As it turns out, the path was far more complicated than either my wife or I or Liam and his men could have imagined. They were forced to spend twice as long on the job as they expected, returning on a weekend to finish it. Throughout, all of the men were polite, courteous and exceedingly professional. The work was excellent and we would have no problem recommending them to any one seeking assistance on a similar project.

We wanted to add a stone patio area in our backyard off our deck so we could entertain more family this summer. In the quoting process we encountered the usual cast of characters: the companies that don't answer their phone or return calls, companies with low quotes and no references or other way of judging trustworthiness, companies with extravagant quotes, etc. Liam of good looking homes answered his phone when I called, made arrangements to come see the site expeditiously, and provided us with a reasonably priced and detailed quote. Further GLH's had an established reputation and through sites like Home Stars we were able to determine how satisfied their customers are. It was largely based on good reviews here that we decided to hire them, and we are glad we did. After hiring GLH's they started the job quickly, showed up on time, did the work properly and cleaned up after. With this type of project, issues do come up once you excavate, and we did encounter some issues with levelling the patio. Liam and his crew came up with a cost effective solution that kept us on budget and turned out a great looking patio. We have received several compliments on it already from neighbours. After putting in the patio, based on the changes we had made, we needed to re-sod the backyard. Liam helped us find someone to do it, and as an added bonus, negotiated a great price on our behalf. We are very happy with the results of our project and the service we received and would have no hesitation hiring GLH's again. Jason

We were looking for a backyard makeover that delivered both an interlock patio for entertaining and a flat playing surface for our two boys, ages 6 and 8. Good Looking Homes delivered both and our backyard has never looked better (or received more use). Previously, we had a backyard space that was neglected. As a result, we rarely spent time outside. Now, I can't get the boys to come inside the house! Liam and crew might be younger than most contractors, but their level of professionalism is excellent. They responded instantly to any questions or concerns. And they made some solid recommendations that paid off in the final product. We're anxious to bring the guys from Good Looking Homes back for more work.
