Straight Up Masonry gave us a reasonable quote, and we booked them to begin on a specific morning. Tony and his crew came at the time they had promised. They did an excellent job in repairing the front steps to our porch, and also repairing other parts of our porch that needed attention, including replacing some bricks that had broken over time. We asked Straight Up Masonry to remove a window for us and re-brick the wall. They did a super job and their quote was the lowest of the 3 that I obtained. They cleaned up well afterwards and even insisted on mopping the floor where they'd had to walk - WOW! Great job, excellent service and very personal guys! Straight Up did a great job replacing some bricks that had been damaged over the years and ensuring the structure add additional features that would ensure bricks would last for years to come. There were 6 rows above our attached garage (edge of our deck above) that had deteriorated due to water that was able to get in between the bricks and during the winter would expand and cause damage. The new capstones added will ensure this will no occur in the future.

Our home is a 90 year old fully detached red brick house in Toronto. The mortar around the sides and particularly the back was in pretty bad shape. The chimney also obviously needed a recapping. We got 5 quotes, most trying to upsell us to a full tuck pointing. We went with Tony and Straight Up because they were the most up front about the expenses. Because of the weather we had to move the work forward but they then arrived on the appointed date on time, they were fantastic with the neighbours (we have a shared driveway) and got straight to work. They took two days instead of three and we had to be out of town but they handled it all. Their estimate was firm with no surprises. Very happy with the work. The chimney is in beautiful shape, the mortar work is unobtrusive and well done. Couldn't be happier.
