We live in a larger heritage home with beautiful woodwork and moldings throughout. The house had a lot of remaining wiring from 1910, which was of great concern to our insurers. The two conditions seemed incompatible for a painless solution. We were fortunate to meet Robert, who advised us of previous similar work performed , with limited damage to the homes. We were sufficiently reassured to proceed, and I am very pleased that we did. Roberts main electricians on the job were Jaret and Steve, who were able , over the course of a few weeks disconnect all old wiring, replacing it with new circuits, as well as adding over 90 halogen potlights to brighten up the dark corners of each room and hallway.The result was nothing short of spectacular. Our old house has simply come alive with this transformation. Whereas we were previously expecting to paint out much of the dark wood, the new lighting has brought a lovely warm glow that we had never previously seen. All of this work was performed with remarkably little damage to the original plasterwork, and no woodwork was even touched. It was a great pleasure to have had Robert and his colleagues in our home. I would ( and already have ) recommend them without hesitation to anyone contemplating an electrical upgrade on a heritage style home. Thank you very much. Ken and Jenny

After interviewing several electrical companies and not getting a good feeling from any of them, we found Rob's company on Homestars. Thank goodness! Rob showed up on time, listened to us, and gave clear and honest answers to all our questions. His team (led by Jaret) did an excellent job on upgrading our 100 year old house's electrical. Jaret is a magician at this; there was very little damage to repair at the end of their job. They were personable, pleasant, and professional. Thank-you Jaret! I called Robert on short notice to help with the inspection of a circuit breaker in the house and his service level was awesome. It wasn't a very complicated request, but Robert took the effort to help me understand what potential issues could be and advising on how to avoid them. I called Robert Redford Electrical Service about installing a chandelier in my home. All the questions I asked were answered in a simple way that was easy to understand.Robert was very helpful in setting up an appointment for the installation, and his over the phone estimate based on our conversation was exactly what I was charged, no extras, no surprises. Jaret the installer showed up exactly when promised, did the installation in a quick professional matter and left with no mess, no fuss. In this day and age it is nice to know there are still companies out there that value service and customer care and practice what they preach.

Selected Robert Redford based on the reviews I read here. Pretty bang on with the reviews. Robert came over to look at the wiring and gave us a quote. He gave us some options on what could be done and left us to consider. His team started within the week and they were done in 2 days. They cleaned up after their job and in the end even checked our smoke detectors for us.

Robert was good to deal with, he was on time and on budget. It was a rush job, re-wiring the condo we were about to move into and Robert made sure his guys got it done before we moved in (they only had a 2 day window - and only 2 days notice!) and we were very impressed. The guys were nice, helpful and professional and got the job done. It was about what we expected as far as cost and we got a certificate in writing that the work was done to code. Very happy!

First off, my experience with Redford Electric was fantastic. The work I required included relocation of my existing panel to remedy a low hanging BCHydro supply wire, an upgrade to 200 amp service, a subpanel for a basement suite, and install of interconnected fire alarms across 3 levels. I contacted 3 other electrical companies from Homestars for quotes for a total of 4 estimates. Redford Electrical was competitive, and although not the lowest price by a small margin, I decided to go with them based on my dialogue with them during the estimating. The install by Jaret was first class and went very smoothly, on time both on the jobsite and delivering the finished result. The estimate was updated for small changes along the way and not forgotten, even though some were in my favor. I would not hesitate to recommend Redford Electric, and would use again. Cheers, C.

I contacted Robert Redford Electrical to installed new convection heaters in my home. The work was done on time and in a very professional manner. It is rare that a project starts and completes on time, but Robert & his crew were punctual, efficient and delivered on all their promises. I would definitely recommend them again.

I needed to do an electrical inspection as a requirement for my home owners insurance policy - there was a concern there may have been knob and tube still in use. Robert showed up on time, kind, courteous etc. Good news! No knob and tube; Robert found a couple of other areas of concern / these will be taken care of next week. There was a mix up with the booking but Robert ensured someone came over promptly. Our new fixtures were installed by a courteous guy and we are totally satisfied with the result. Robert came a week later and installed a new outlet in our bathroom. We found out it was knob and tube but he made the update and was on his was. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for electric work.
