This is the WORST WORST WORST company I have ever met in my whole life! Google does not allow me to put 0 start, otherwise I will definitely do!!! We spent TWO YEARS to deal with this company.
We have a townhouse in Barrie and rent out. Ordered and wanted to change one patio door and three windows from PL in Aug 2021, but until today, Jul 7, 2023-TWO YEARS- they still have not finished yet! During those 2 years, we keep communicating with them, they keep promising, but with NO proper actions AT ALL!
We cannot believe in Canada there is such a company like PL Windows, treats clients like this. Below is our experience with them, really want to share and warn all of you:
Aug, 2021: We did the quotation and paid deposit.
Around Sep 23, 2021: They came to measure the windows and door size.
End of Nov 2021: After another 2 months, they came and installed the patio door for around 2 hours.
Dec 14, 2021: They came to change our windows. Unfortunately, they suddenly found one window was with the wrong size/type due to their own measuring mistake. They promised will re-order the correct window.
Dec 30, 2021: We paid most of the money.
Feb 22, 2022: They promised us they would send their contractor to fix the window, our tenant asked for leave that day and was waiting for them to come. BUT-they DID NOT SHOW UP!
March 7, 2022(weekday): They asked us if they could come. Our tenant did not have time during weekdays and asked if they could come during weekends or after 5pm weekdays. They disagreed.
Around Jul 2022: our tenant and us were so tired dealing with them and agreed they could come ANY TIME ANY DAY even during weekday, as long as they can give 2 days notice in advance. They promised will find a time.
From Jul 2022 to Jul 3, 2023: during the WHOLE YEAR, my husband keeping message them and asked when they could find time to fix the final window, they always said they do not have available contractor but will try their best to find a soliton for us.
Jul 4, 2023: I called the company myself and asked whats the process now. The rep called Lisa complained on the phone that they tried several times to book the appointment with our tenant, but he did not have time. However, the truth is: our tenant only rejected once, and later agreed they could come any day. Lisa then said we HAVE TO PAY EXTRA $175 GAS FEE, because it is far, WHICH I AGREED. I am so sick with them. I told her although this was NOT our fault, we agreed to pay it, as long as it could be fixed ASAP.
Jul 5, 2023: They called me back and said they might go on this Friday Jul 7 and asked if we are ok. I told them that is totally fine, but just confirm with me they will really come this time. Lisa promised me to call me back either Jul 5 night or Jul 6 by noon to confirm.
Jul 6, 2023: I gave my manager notice in advance that I may need to ask for one day leave on Jul 7. I was waiting for them to call me back the whole day, but they did not. 4PM, I called their company, another rep told me Lisa was not in today. I asked if they could come on Jul7, they said no, because they even could not find the re-ordered window?! I messaged Lisa, she wrote back only on Jul 7 morning and said she TOTALLY FORGOT to let me know she should confirm with me and said she could not find their contactor. The reason she provided to me was totally different, as the other rep saying they could not find the window.
We now GAVE UP! We no longer want to deal with them at all! But this is my right to share my experience. Thank you.
