This company installed a tankless water heater for us in 2008. We were sold the wrong unit for our house, a unit which also was ineligible for the govt refund, although the company informed us otherwise. We were promised that we could sell our house and convey the contract easily, but that was also a dishonest statement. Nothing this company told us or promised us turned out to be true. When we refinanced our house this year, their financing company required us to pay off the contract in full. In short, our contract with them ended up costing us at least twice what it would have cost to buy a tankless unit at Home Depot and pay someone to install it. The only bright spot in the whole process is that they did a good job with the installation itself.

First let me say their website www.mrtankless.ca resolves to a government Consumer Complaint Form. Wonder why... In 2009, we got a tankless water heater installed with them and actually their company name is Active Temp Control. The deal was good. Price was 29$ tax-in (rent-to-own) and we were able to cancel, transfer or buyout any time. Was written in writing on the contract. No problems with them, the install and system, until we moved. 6 months after the move, in early 2010 we were served with court papers on breach of contract and failure to pay the monthly amount owed from the start. Before the move, although we could have simply canceled the contract and have them remove it (was in writing), we were asked by them to reach out to the new home owner and see if he wanted to take over the payments. So good people we are, we went to the trouble of coordinating the transfer for them to do the paper work. Contractually, all was legal and no liens whatsoever. In fact, at house closing, my lawyer made sure this was not an issue and we were good. So back to the court case... so naturally, we filed a defense claim and countersuit with a tonne of evidence including our original contract, the new home owner's contract, sworn statement by the home owner, our payment evidence, etc. Active Temp Control had no evidence attached to their submission other than all the false claims because they had none! Needless to say, they never showed up at the preliminary court hearing and were fined 300$ to pay to us for wasting ours and the courts time. Of course, they never paid the 300$ for which by default, their case then became dismissed. The frustrating thing here is the court costs we lost (about 170$) but most importantly, the aggravation, stress, and time lost they inflicted upon myself and family. They are by far the most scandalous business I have ever dealt with and seeing a complaint form coming up on the website gives me a sense of vindication.

installed the navien in january and stil the unit is leaking.3 visit by their technician ? did not due anything.when one calls the company the line frank gives you" your call is important to us etc.etc.etc now another problem arose.booked the enridge poeple for my yearly inspection.when they came they refused to do any work because mr tankless istalled the navien unit to close to the furnace(9 in.)legaly it should be 24" clerance( code referance4.14.2)enbridge finds the condition unacceptable and wont do anny work.i have to dish out an extera $600.00 because enbridge has to change the furnace arround, and i want mr. tankless topick up the tap.if nothing is coming forward, i will go to the sun because they love storys like that. p.s. etobicoke

At the end of April I had a Mr Tankless sales person show up to provide an estimate. Firstly, he looked and dressed like an 80's porn actor, and then he provided a contract that was from "EnSource", and not Mr Tankless. I was suspicious, but I had done my homework on the Navien product line, and their quote was in line with what I had received from other vendors. Since I was more concerned with the product than the vendor, I gave them a $500 deposit. About a month later I received a call saying that they'd be their on June 9th, but I needed cash or a certified cheque for the balance. I said no, because I intended to put the balance on credit card for the points and purchase protection. June 9th came, and no one showed. When I called their number, a lady representing the property management company, advised me that Mr Tankless had moved out of their premises without notice two weeks earlier. I was given another number, which was a mobile number whose mailbox was constantly full. I finally got through well enough to leave a message, but not call back. Since then I had read similar reviews from other Mr Tankless customers, which make me feel like a fool for not investigating them further. This company has likely gone bankrupt, they owe money to everyone, and I will likely have to chaulk this up to a $500 lesson.

They were a no show for the first 3 install appoitment. No call not show. Every time you call there would be a different answer. The only time you were every able to speak with the mgr was before the sale and after no way. The free water softner was never provided and they stopped answering or returning my call.

Mr. Tankless and Active Temp Control are both scammers. When you try to call the offices, they don't even answer the phone with the company name. Do NOT Trust either of these companies, they will not back up there claims.

everything salesman told me was totally opposite to what he told my husband,free water softner-is not a water softner-its a system that protects tankless water heater-not a water softner...i was told free cancellation fee-but financial form they ask you to sign is a binding contract for 10 years(but to cancel with them is free)they just keep taking money out of your bank until your 10 year contract is up!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...

Mr. Tankless came and took an order and deposit. He wanted a significant deposit, which I did not do. Any appointments to install were cancelled at the last minute. Suggested that an alternate unit be excepted, which he described as an upgrade, was indeed NOT. Refusing to reply to me in any manner and not returning my deposit, although he cannot deliver the unit under contract.

From the sales man that came to my house I was very confident in this company and there service! I would like to thank them for gaining my trust and the great price on there product and also being fast and on the dot like they have promised. I am sure it is very important for everyone to know everything in details before spening money and Mr.Tankless has answered all my questions and concerns that made me trust them with my money and my time. Thank again!

I purchased a tankless from mr tankless the installers were so professional and they,ve done it in 4 hours im really happy with the price and unit. Also i,ve got my rebate 10 weeks after installation
