Great web presence, backed by even better customer service

California shutters on main floor windows We did plenty of on-line research into which company, and which product, to purchase and were very impressed by the professionalism of M3’s web site as well as the information it contained.
This was backed up with even better customer service. Mike was able to deliver the California shutters promptly and was punctual with delivery and installation.
We have already had so many compliments on the kitchen and family room and love how the rooms have instantly looked opened up and bright. We’re impressed with the beauty and quality of our wood shutters. We love the clean lines and how our space looks so much larger, and will definitely be sharing the positive experience we’ve had with M3, with our friends and family.

Mike delivers his promise

Shutters + installation Mike was well informed about his product and more than willing to share his knowledge. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly he was able to come back to install our blinds after the initial visit when he provided a very reasonable quote. Mike knows his business and is true to his word. We are thrilled with the results!

Amazing Work and Got it install in one week!

Shutters "The shutters look amazing and complete the room’s décor we were very impressed with the professionalism of M3E Design Group & would recommend to all our friends, neighbors and family, Mostly we were impressed by the look of the Wood Shutters and the richness they added to the room.well executed on time and on budget.

shutters ( pensianas de ventanas) yo compre una casa y necesitaba algunas reparaciones como en las ventanas y puertas , y encontre por el internet esta compania ,tambien me fue recomendada por otras personas que laboro ,y me parecio que el precio era muy bueno,y la calidad del producto es superior a lo que realmente me costo la reparacion ,porque hay calidad, buen precio , y duradero.sobre el senor les puedo decir que es puntual, respetuoso,y seguro de su trabajo .

Excellent quality, value and fast Installation

Shutters for all Windows. Mike measured our Windows, manufactured our Shutters and installed them in less than 7 days - Absolutely amazing! Shutters are beautiful poplar, spray painted white with really nice decorative hinges. Mike and his assistant installed about 19 windows in 3 hours and they look fantastic. Mike also installed shutters on our Patio doors which transformed the whole look of the kitchen. We are extremely happy with Mike and M3 Design - they are the best!

Made a good choice with M3Design

Shutters After much contemplation and research as to which company I entrusted to manufacture and install my custom window shutters; I felt quite confident and at ease selecting M3 Design. I contacted M3 Design for an estimate and to view the quality of shutters available. Mike, a very personable and knowledgeable individual, arrived at my home within days of my request. He brought with him various samples and offered many insights as to which shutter style he recommended for my home. After a series of measurement taking for the various windows, Mike immediately calculated the cost and provided me with an itemized detailed estimate. To my surprise his prices were excellent and the quality of shutters were great. What was very impressive was that he guaranteed installation within a weeks’ time. I was somewhat skeptical about the promised time; but Mike in fact delivered exactly seven days after my estimate.

Mike installed the shutters with ease, despite the obstacles he encountered. As in the case of any home; window frames tend to warp over time. Despite that, Mike was able to retro fit and adjust the frames without any damage to the existing framework and moldings … ensuring a perfect fit. Mike tackled the installation of shutters for two massive windows over my staircase with ease. Reaching those two windows is extremely difficult and but Mike did the job and did it right. Taking the measurements of these two windows involved acrobatic moves on Mikes’ part…. too funny!

Overall, I am truly content and satisfied with the overall experience. From the initial estimate, to providing samples, to installation… M3 Design exceeded my expectations. The shutters look great from both the outside and inside. They have aesthetically enhanced the beauty of my home and at a great price. Thanks Mike for a great job. Thank you also for going that extra mile to help me with other items in my home that were not shutter related. I have received many compliments from my neighbors and I am sure I’ll be seeing you again on my street soon.

I would definitely recommend this company.. I even asked Mike to post his business sign on my property … first time I’ve ever allowed any company to do that!

Mike continues to provide amazing service 13 years later!!

Shutters Consultation We first contacted Mike 13 years ago regarding our new home. He provided and installed top-notch blinds and shutters which lasted up to this day with no problems. We were impressed with Mike and his dedication to getting the job done back then, so we decided to contact him recently as we replaced all our home's windows. We were fortunate to get in touch with Mike and we were able to get a great price for shutters (for our new windows) and a favourable installation date. In addition, Mike was able to help us secure the services of painters who would paint the unpainted sides of the newly installed windows since our original contact couldn't make our date. Our consultation was a positive experience and a noteworthy reminder of how Mike continues to go the extra mile.

In reference to the customer review from Mississauga, it's baffling that they mentioned issues with customer service as Mike is dedicated to doing the best job possible for his clients. Ever since our first experience back in 1997, we have continued to refer Mike to other friends who were happy with his services and the products. Mike, keep up the great work!

Shutters are good, but customer service has ruined this experience

Got shutters done We found Mike and his company online in 2008. We were happy with his price, and of course, Mike comes across as a great salesman claiming his shutters are top quality. Although I'm used to his type of loud mouth sales pitches, I did like the samples.

I was happy with everything until it came to installation time. When he showed up 4 hours late and did not have the decency to call, I wasted an entire morning of work. The installation was not done to my liking. When a shutter did not quite fit the window space, Mike's idea of making it fit was to put a 2x4 on the window sill and hammer it down, resulting in my window sill to crack which I noticed later after he left. My neighbor hired another company who took their shutter back to the plant and have it recut to fit the window, something a proper installer would do.

I noticed major installation issues after Mike left, such as the frame around the patio door which holds the shutters in place was also cracked cause the screw was not put through properly. Instead of fixing this, Mike left the screw out completely, which means the top portion of that shutter was hanging on with one screw, instead of 2, and I have a 3 inch crack running down the side of the frame, which he failed to tell me about and I also noticed after he left.

4 of the shutters do not stay closed in an upright position. After installation, we contacted Mike about this for 3 months without a call back. the only way we could get him to return the call was to pretend we were new customers and call from a blocked number. He said he would be in the area in about a month and would call to come fix the issue, it's been 6 months and we have not heard from the guy.

Mike, if you're reading this, you know who we are, do not even attempt to try and contact us now to fix the issue, what's done is done. We have hired another shutter guy to come in and finish the rest of our house and fix the issues from Mike's shutters and installation. I'm supposed to have a 25 year warranty on these.

To top it all off, almost all of our shutters have warped inside the frames because it's a new home. Something Mike said would not happen, and I should have listened to the more reputable shutter guy I met prior to meeting with Mike who told me to get the shutters on frames as they will warp.

Mike made his quick buck and did not follow up on any customer service, him and his useless assistant did a mediocre installation job.

If I could do it all over again, I WOULD NOT hire M3 Design group.
