I looked at a few companies on home stars. I invited quotes from them including Mark from Envirotech. What I liked about Mark was that he explained everything in simple terms and that gave me a feeling that he had adequate product knowledge. I mentioned to him that I was getting some pot lights installed and he recommended the best way to do that. Since my exisiting contractor wanted to take shortcuts, I engaged Mark and his team to install a few pot lights as well. He also looked at a few of my electrical problems and gave some suggestions on the spot. His quote was one of the lowest . He and his associate came when expected and completed the work (electrical work & installation of pot lights, cellulose insulation ) in a day. They cleaned up professionally and I expect a more comfortable home. in the near future. I would highly recommend Envirotech.

We had a very ineffective space pac air vonditioner and it was recpmmended by the AC company that we improve the insulation of the attic. Mark was extremely knowledgable and helpful in this process and also advised us to get the wiring checlkd prior to the insulaation. He was not in the electrica\ business at the time. I consulted electrical companies and was glad I did as the wiring had been incorrectly installed and could have been hazardous. Mar4 takes pride in the work he does and asks you even to take a look before he leaves. I was very impressed with how clean he left the area that he had done the work within. Hew also kept thr costs to the original quote, actually the final bill was less than the original quote. I have no hesitation recommending Mark and his company to anyone. It was a pleasure dealingh with you Mark. Many Thanks, Barb.

Thank you for your testimonial Barb. We appreciate it. Also thank you for introducing me to the electrician and the roofer you were using. I did talk to both, and insulated an attic for Green Isle Electrical. If you have anything you need in the future please let us know.

2nd Floor Insulation ($7,300 approx for walls and ceiling) We contacted Mark in early February to provide us with a quote to insulate our 1930's home in the Woodbine and Danforth area. He inspected our house, and provided us with a quote with several options - aircrete and cellulose. He also spotted several issues we had with our ductwork as we were not getting any air into our bedroom due to improper installation. This was something he did not have to do, but took the time to do so. We had it fixed according to Mark's instructions and we no longer have an issue. Mark's team did our house in two stages - ceiling with cellulose and the walls with aircrete. Within hours of the installation, we noticed a huge difference. Mark's team tarps everything to protect them from debris and they did a really good job cleaning up after they were done. Besides insulating our house due to the lack of insulation in our home, we were doing it for the Home Energy Audit Program. Mark referred us to an Auditor, who was fantastic! Mark also patches the holes that they make to apply the insulation, which will need to be sanded and a second coat of patching done - nothing unexpected. Electrical Service Update ($1075.00 approx) We had a problem with our lights flickering and it was brought to our attention by Toronto Hydro that our previous electrician failed to update the outside service when updating the knob and tube inside. After Mark was done insulating our home, we discovered he was a master electrician. Mark updated the service for us and his price was very reasonable. He did it without having to move our panel or make any new holes in the side of the house. It looks really good. Kitchen Electrical ($1,500.00 approx) We decided to renovate our kitchen in April, and again called Mark back to help us moving outlets, switches adding a plug here and there, etc. What was supposed to be simple moving of receptacles turned into Mark having to almost rewire the entire kitchen! The previous electrician did such a terrible job that Mark had no choice but to fix everything. Before he did anything, he showed me what needed to be done and he did a great job! Mark is probably one of the most honest contractors I have ever dealt with. He shows genuine concern and very passionate about his profession. He has made our lives much easier as he is always available whether by phone or email to answer any questions or concerns you might have. When we renovate the bathroom next year, we will be contacting Mark once again should we need additional electrical done. We are also considering insulating the first floor of our home and will call Mark for that as well. I highly recommend Mark for any insulating or electrical needs.

Hello, Like most on here I did my research about spray foam insulation and looked at a few companies on home stars. I had a few companies come over and give quotes including Mark from Envirotech. What I liked about Mark was that he explained everything in plain english and when he spoke, I got a good feeling that he knew what he was talking about having done some basic research. In fact, he even suggested I do not do spray foam in my garage and use a cellulose injection becasue it was cheaper and did as good a job. He also looked at a few of my electrical problems and gave some suggestions on the spot. He gave the lowest quote and I got a really good feeling from him as a person which really means a lot in the contractor industry. He and his assciate came when expected and completed the work (cellulose in roof of garage, reinsulate roof, some electrical work) in a day. They cleaned up and we are now living in a more comfortable home during the summer. I can now feel the affects of the AC on the second floor of my house. The room over the garage nolonger feels like you are about to high five the sun. I would highly recommend Envirotech.

They showed up for the estimate as promised and were polite and informative. The work crew was considerate, hard-working and polite and cleaned up the site after the work was done. A few months after the work, all is well and I am satisfied with the job and feel the price was competitive.

I called Envirotech Insulation after being fed up with sleeping in a cold bedroom all winter. With a baby on the way, I knew I had to get the main floor temperature regulated and done quickly! I called Mark and was so happy to receive a call back the same day. We set an appointment up within a few days and said that he would rate our attic insulation between R22-24. We had an energy audit a few months prior so I knew that this was true. He also said though that in all of the corners of the attic (where all of the bedrooms are) the insulation is much less, especially the master bedroom. He took some measurements and sent a quote in a couple of days. His crew that came to work on the house were very friendly, and kept the work zone tidy. I noticed a difference right away... Envirotech Insulation did an amazing job and will not hesitate to contact them for future work or refer them to friends.

My husband and I decided to up the R factor in our attic to try and improve the warmth in our home a bit. I did a search on HomeStars (which I have come to rely greatly upon) for attic insulation installers. I came across Envirotech Insulation, which had great reviews. Mark came out to our home and did a thorough inspection, looked in our attic as well as the celing in our garage (our thought was to insulate that as well, as our daughter's room is above the garage and floor is cold...more on that later). Mark sent me the quote, and I was very pleasantly suprised. The quote was very competitive, and we really liked Mark. We hired him to do the attic, as well as the garage ceiling. His crew came out a couple of weeks later to do the job, and they were great. the put plastic up the stairs, blew in the insulation into the attic, and did everything that was quoted. My only disappointment, and it has nothing to do with their work - we discovered that the insulation in the garage celing could not be done, as there wasn't enough space to blow in the insulation. They patched the holes they had put in the ceiling, and in the end, only charged for the attic work. I would highly recommend Mark and his crew. They were professional, neat and tidy, and the price was right.

Mark and his crew soundproofed our entire shared wall of our 13 year old semi-detached home (approx 900 sq. ft of wall) and did a fantastic job. We only had 1.5 inches of gap between the firewall and drywall, we could hear music and voices from neighbours which was annoying. They filled the gap with foamed concrete, and its an 80% improvement in sound reduction. We did not want to tear down all drywall or put in batt insulation as we had a narrow gap. This was less disruptive and most cost effective. Their quote was half of the other company who does same work in Toronto. They also put in more blown cellulose in our attic , and over our dormer windows where there was none. This has made a big difference, our house is now much quieter and warmer. Mark and his crew are honest, very professional, knowedgeable, tidy, and took 1.5 days to complete both projects. I give them my highest reccomendation.

Thank you for the fantastic review Allison. We appreciate it. Airkrete does a great job of sound reduction, as well as insulation. Another benefit as it was a firewall, Airkrete is FIREPROOF. Thereby increasing the fire resistance of the wall dramatically.
