    Highly recommended company!

Exterior Wall Insulation - AirKrete We moved into this 40-year old home last November. This home is heated by electric baseboards and we have twenty of them. Our heating bill was so expensive that we needed to do something to bring it down. After having investigated different options, we have decided that retrofitting with forced air central heating is not a desirable option (as our basement has been fully finished and we don't have the ductwork) nor insulating the perimeter walls from inside of the house (as we cannot accept the mess and fix-up we have to do after drilling hundreds of holes in our drywalls). In fact, we have also called an insulation contractor who uses expansion foam that will require us to take down all the drywalls! So that left us with two options: AirKrete (it doesn't expand) from the outside, or do nothing. We called Mark Connor of Envirotech Insulation. Mark is courteous and professional. He tried his best to answer all my questions and concerns and gave us a very reasonable price. He investigated that our house has thin batts of fiberglass insulation (R8) typical of that time inside our perimeter walls. He would inject AirKrete from the outside (by drilling holes between the mortar joints) of the house. On the day of the installation, his crew of three (not himself) arrived at 7:30am. They were polite and appeared to know their work (hey, what else can I rely on other than those little body languages?), they gained my trust right away. The drilling started at eight and it was so noisy that I decided to leave the house with them and I went out for a long breakfast. They had to skip a few areas that cannot not be reached or insulated (the wall cavity inside our garage is too thin) and at the end, Mark deducted those areas from the invoice accordingly. (I think that this really shows that Mark is honest and professional.) They left our house at 3pm with reasonable cleanup. The holes in the mortar joints (may be 200 of them) were covered with small pieces of foam (the similar type that insulates your water pipes coming out of your water heater) and then covered with color-matched mortar. The smoothing (with finger) of the mortar is not as pretty as I wish but it is acceptable. All of my other concerns have not happened: 1) the drilling has not drilled through any water pipes, electric wire, gas lines or interior wall, 2) the drilling has not damaged the structure of the exterior wall (it is all brick) as it appears. This is very important. It is August so I cannot determine the saving in our heating bills in the winter yet. The house does seem to be cooler (we don't have air-conditioning!) and a little quieter than before (it was already quiet before we put in AirKrete, this house was well-constructed). Next May I will write again to report on our heating bills. For now, I want to thank Mark, Ed, Stu and Charlie for doing a terrific job. Good people are hard to come by these days, I highly recommend Mark and his company. Thank you!

Basement header insulation Thank you Mark. Both Ed and Paul were good guys to deal with, both introduced themselves and were friendly and polite...even arrived about 15 minutes early (or drove past the driveway 15 mins. early as the GPS systems a bit screwed up in this area!?) They cleaned up all the work site, turn off and rolled up water hose, etc.
It has been a pleasure dealing with Envirotech Insulation and will recommend you at any opportunity!

    Great job by Envirotech Insulation!

    Rita in T.O.

attic and garage ceiling insulation I called Envirotech based on my sister's recommendation and Mark came to visit my house. I told him about the room above the garage that we want to turn into a baby's room that gets cold in the winter & he suggested to increase the Attic insulation and insulate the ceiling of our garage. Usually I get a couple of estimates when having work done but Mark's seemed very reasonable & he did a great job explaining what he'd be doing that we went ahead & scheduled a date for the work to be done and his staff showed up on time. They showed & explained to me the work they did in the attics & in the garage after they finished each of the projects & when they were done they did a great job cleaning up. Job well done and I am very satisfied and will recommend Mark & his crew to all of my friends & family.

EnviroTech - Great Service, Great Product

    akoehler

Wall and attic insulation Thanks to Mark and his crew, my home feels warm and comfortable. Everyone was so nice, explained to me what they were going to do, and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. They did a great job patching the walls, sanding and painted was easy.
I have no doubt that the insulation will save me money, and provide a warmer and more comfortable home. And knowing it is environmentally safe makes it an even better product!
Thank you for doing such a great job! I recommend EnviroTech Insulation to everyone I know.

    Best Regards,

    Andrea

2nd time using Envirotech and just as happy

    nancy in Thornton

Wall and attic insulation Thank you so much again for your help in insulating my main residence.

Your men were, as usual, polite, helpfull, efficient and cleaned up so well.

As I mentioned my farmhouse is at least a third bigger than my little Newmarket house, and when I saw I paid $400 more to heat the Newmarket home after installing Airkrete in the farmhouse, it was a no brainer getting airKrete installed in my Newmarket home, and attic insulation upgraded.
Even with a missing basement window pane in the farmhouse all last winter it still used over 31% less oil.

God bless you Mark, for your wonderful environmentally friendly products, and the very best of service!!!!

    Kindest Regards
    Nancy

    Great job!

    Jena in East York

Increasing Attic Insulation I was increasing my attic insulation as per the recommendations of an eco-inspector and Envirotech was the first and last company I called for a quote. I typically call around to get various quotes, but Mark was friendly and I thought the price sounded fair, so I gave him the go ahead.

Stuart and Charlie were prompt, friendly and efficient and they left the area under my attic hatch clean as clean as possible. I would definitely refer Envirotech to friends and family.

    They did a great job.

Garage, Attic Insulation I called Envirotech and Mark came to visit my home. I told him about the cold room above the garage and other rooms being cold. He explained to me the reason for the problem. He provided me with a reasonable estimate.
He suggested to increase the Attic insulation to R50 and insulate the external wall and celing of the garage. We scheduled a date for the work and his staff showed up on time.
They worked for 7 hours and after they finished their work, they cleaned the area that they worked on. The next day my cold room was gone and the temperature upstairs was warmer by 1.5 degree.
Job well done and I am very satisfied.

EnviroTech Insulation did a great job

    paul2 in Toronto

Insulation of house We contacted EnviroTech Insulation to inquire about insulating the walls and attic space of our 78 year old semi and the ceiling and floor in our always too cold or too hot sunroom. Mark got back to us in no time at all. When my girlfriend asked a lot more specific questions about the actual insulation materials and their application, Mark very patiently went into great length to explain the details.
He gave us all the necessary information so we could free up the walls and group the furniture in preparation for the work to be done in the least amount of time and disruption.
Mark and his crew arrived on time and after a short walk around we left for work and let them do their job. By the time we got back home, they’d already completed the job and were gone. Compared to other home improvement/ renovation work we had experienced in the past, they left the job site as clean as they possibly could have.
Although we had discussed the possibility of having the small attic insulated as well, we made a firm decision about it only after having talked to Mark again about it the very morning they’d arrived. He accommodated our additional request with ease.
After the work, the upstairs inside walls were like Swiss cheese but Mark and his crew had very neatly plugged the drill holes and covered them with just the right amount of drywall compound to make the first sanding easy and keep the work to a minimum.
My girlfriend, having dealt with numerous trades’ people in the past, appreciated Mark’s thoroughness, dependability and his willingness to answer questions.
