At Envirotech Insulation we specialize in retrofit insulation applications. We are licensed installers of airKrete injection foam insulation and blown-in cellulose insulation for retrofit applications.
AirKrete is a retrofit cementious foam insulation, which is environmentally friendly, non toxic, 100% fireproof, mould proof and rodent proof. It is an injection, or foamed in place insulation, rather than spray foam. It contains no UFFI or formaldehyde, no isocyanates and no VOC's. It can be retrofit installed through holes drilled in the walls. We also install blown in cellulose insulation into attics, walls, garage ceilings.

upgrade insulation to R50
Helen in ThornhillI would highly recommend Envirotech. The crew arrived and finished on time and worked solidly to do everything promised in the initial consultation. They installed 30 potlight boxes and fixed existing ventilation problems. Then they blew in cellulose which has great insulation properties and is environmentally friendly. They were very helpful in answering all of my questions. They cleaned the house thoroughly before they left.. Thank you for a job well done at a reasonable price.

attic re-insulation
scott thomson in TorontoUnder normal circumstances I would never give anyone/company a perfect score as there is always room for improvement... in this case I had to. I have a 100 year home with a tricky attic (basically three distict sections). Unfortunately there is only a single access hatch cut in the middle section making the front and back 1/3 of the attic inaccessible. During the preliminary assessment we all conceded that the only option would be to cut a second access hatch in the front 1/3 of the attic so we could at minimum re-insulate over our childrens' rooms (best value approach). I was so pleasantly surprised by the ultimate outcome. shortly after arriving on site the crew thought they would first try to make their way to the front of the attic from the existing hatch before they conceded to cutting a new hole in my ceiling. unbeleivably and likely the result of some serious acrobatics one of the guys was able to traverse the attic and promptly reinsulate the front 1/3 of my attic without cutting a new hole. This little bit of extra effort saved me a great deal of time and money, as I no longer had to tackle a patch repair, and painting project that would have likely taken my 2 days. Sales and customer service is all about managing expectations. My expectations for this project were greatly exceeded and for that I thank you and would recommend you to anyone.

Top up insulation in attic
Kelly in AjaxI used Envirotech to top up the insulation in my attic, based on other reviews here on Homestars. They gave me a quote which was honoured, they arrived on time and completed the job in a timely mannter. They also made sure to vacuum and clean up after themselves which was appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Envirotech.

Attic Insulation
Elite Designed Concrete IncWe called Mark to take a look at the insulation needs in the attics of our 52 year old home. His advice was very helpful and he was very professional during the inpsection process. We hired him upon receiving his reasonable quote for blown in cellulose insulation and rafter vent installation. His staff were very approachable and took their time during the installation to ensure our house was getting the proper amount insulation. At the end they asked for me to inspect both attics before they sealed them off and cleaned up after themselves. I have no reservations in referring Mark and his team to anyone requiring insulation.

Attic Insulation

Wall (airKrete) and Attic (Cellulose) Insulation
airKrete - A Great Product! | Don in OshawaWe have a 1950s bungalow in Oshawa with balloon framing (no insulation or firebreaks). I did a bit research before we decided on Envirotechinsulation. I found that two options existed to retrofit our home. 1. Remove entire lathe and plaster, insulate and then drywall. A dirty, expensive and time consuming process. 2. Drill and fill. Have professionals drill holes in the plaster or exterior and fill with insulation. a. Cellulose was an option, but it does layer out over time and requires a vapour barrier. Impossible to provide a barrier and if it gets wet it will layer even more. b. Expandable foam. Don’t let anyone talk you into this! The foam will expand and crack the lathe and plaster or drywall. c. airKrete. This product is ideal since it does not expand so it won’t cause any cracking of drywall. It flows around obstacles when installed which cellulose won’t. We decided to go with airKrete (a bit more expensive). Mark’s crew of Stu, Charlie and Ed did a great job. They installed dropped sheets on the floor and furniture. They drilled holes from inside with a drill that had a vacuum attached to it. Very little dust and they cleaned up everything. We also had the crew bring our attic up to R50. My only regret is not getting this job done earlier when the federal energy grant existed (only received Ontario grant). I would definitely recommend envirotechinsulation. I plan on having them back to insulate our entire basement once the grants return in the next year or so.

Insulated Attic with Blown insulation
Excellent work and Customer Service | Heather Cooke in BowmanvilleWhen I initially called the company, I already had 2 quotes, but felt that the service with the other companies was not the best. I would have to continually call back just to get a person who knew what I needed and could answer my questions. The team at enviro tech were excellent to work with. They came in and got right to work. They were polite and when they were done with the insulating they help me vacuum up the carpets.

Old Victorian Red Brick - with no insulation
Worth every penny, exceptional service | John M. Allan in PeterboroughIn owning a 2.5 redbrick Victorian home over a century old, with no insulation at all - you can imagine my heating bills! This team showed up on time,drilled hundreds of holes into my lath and plaster walls and injected AirCrete into the outside walls. They brought diamond drills that did not send spider cracks throughout the walls, they do know what they are doing. I was curious of what was happening as all that foam was going into my walls, the team took the time to explain what was happening at every stage. It took 2 days from start to finish , they did the headers of my basement, and I know the foam got into every nook and cranny! How do I know? My installation was in April of 2010, its now December and my house is toasty warm, no drafts, no flickering candles, just toasty warm. We had to reset our thermostat - lower this year as the house is keeping the heat in and the costs down. This company delivered in budget and on time. Thanks John
