Andy Landsdown agreed to come on site and inspect a 3rd floor loft window that was recently installed and was leaking water onto the window sill on the interior. He was paid to consult and his recommendation was caulking - for which he followed through on the project to the end. He is an exceptional window expert with a broad network. I appreciated he made time in his busy schedule to accommodate my request - very service oriented. For years, I looked for someone to come repair my leaky sunroom. Most were unwilling to even come out and look at it saying it was too small a job for them. Some that did come out quoted exorbitant amounts to do the job. Afte a colleague referred me to Homestars, I found Andy Landsdown. From the start, Andy was good with time and returning calls and impressed my husband and me with his sunroom knowledge. While working on repairing the leaks in the sunroom, Andy discovered the entire base of the sunroom had been destroyed by carpenter ants and needed rebuilding. He gave us a reasonable additional quote for this work. Although the job took longer than Andy had originally budgeted for, he stayed committed and worked long hours to complete the work. He was very pleasant and friendly and gave lots of useful tips on how to care for the sunroom and keep it in good shape. Andy was a pleasure to work with and I would readily recommend him to anyone with sunroom woes!

We have a solarium which has over thirty pieces of glass. Over the years the seals have gone and we debated about removing the solarium altogether and replacing it with a room, but we love all the light! After years of looking through hazy, faulted glass solarium window panels we finally found Solarium Repairs to complete our fix-it. We couldn't be happier with the job they did. We had 3 competitive repair estimates (and some not so competitive). One company wanted to rip it right to the ground and start again. (because it would be easier - for them!) Solarium Repair provided the solution and warranty that worked best for us. Andy Lansdowne was fabulous. He walked us through the entire process, providing his expertise and recommendations in selection of glass, the repair process and follow-up. We have been suffering a leak in our sunroom for awhile. Solar Sunrooms, the company who build it has gone out of business. I called Andy and asked him to come, have a look and hopefully diagnose the problem. He arrived promptly, checked everything out on the inside and then on top of the sunroom roof. He found the problem right away - bad join from the roof to the sunroom roof plus the shingles are worn out. Now we need a good roofer! Thanks Andy!
