Purchased Sam's services through Kijiji Daily deals as some of my shingles flew off due to heavy wind. Sam came and promptly replaced the shingles and offered other enhancements as well.

I have a 100+ year old house with an old cast iron metal vent sticking out of the side. Most likely it was used for some kind of wood burning stove. The inside has been disconnected so it was only serving to provide a safe and dry home to birds nests and potential entry for other rodents into the house walls. I called Sam and it didn't take him long to respond. He even gave me a quote over the phone indicating he knew exactly what it was. We scheduled a day to do the work and he showed up exactly when he said he would. He chiseled away the brick around the vent, removed, the vent, and cleaned the inside area of tons of bird nest material. He patched it up and was gone within about an hour or so. I am very happy and bye bye birds! Would recommend Sam to anyone.

This company is so busy but it is worth the wait. The guy and his crew are great. Prices are not all under everybody but Sam gives many options and advice. Was told by a friend of mine and though a handy man operation can do all this but they were on the point. Roof, bricks work, chimney and a small skylight in 2 days. Thanks Sam

I have been using Sam for the last few years. As my home is nearly 80, there have been a number of issues to be addressed over recent years. Sam has done concrete work, roofing and a full chimney replacement as well as tree trimming. In all jobs Sam has been prompt, very resonable, and quick to communicate with. He explains exactly what is occurring, how the work will be done, and any options that are available. He solves any issues in thebest possible fashion while doing so in the most economical way. He addresses any concerns or questions I have had immediately, without delay. The work has always been excellent, done exactly when he says it will be done, and to cost, with no hidden fees. Cleanup is excellent. I wish all the contractors I have dealt with over the years had half the business integrity and follow through as Sam does. Unfortunately, the first roofer I used to fix my leak was not found via HomeStars. They do appear lower down the list, and with good reason. After a failed effort and months of delays from the other roofer, I looked up and found Sam the Handyman. They had someone at my house the next day. Their quote was thorough and by email, and it addressed all of the issues and errors that the other company did not. While it was not a big job, it was tricky, because of the location of the leak. The other roofer didn't bring the necessary equipment to get it sealed properly. Coincidentally, the day after the repairs were done, we had a huge rainfall. After watching water drip for weeks, it was finally dry! I definitely recommend Sam and his guys for any work that you need. And I will most certainly be checking this site before calling anyone again!
