I called Reliable and instantly reached Rob. He dropped by promptly and quickly determined that the breaker had tripped. Thanks to his honesty and generous professionalism, he said that he wouldn't charge me. I would highly recommend Rob and Reliable!

My furnace stopped working overnight and I woke up to a very cold house, on one of the coldest days of winter (Does it ever happen during a mild winter day? lol) I work from home so it's not like I had a warm office to go to. Daryl & Darrin were recommended to me by a contractor that was referred by a mutual friend. I received a call from them almost immediately and they gave me their ETA and called when they were almost here. I am embarassed to tell you that part of the problem was that I didn't have the furnace door on that lights the pilot light. A very silly oversight on my part and expected it to be a costly mistake ie service call + labour. Although getting the door back on solved the problem, they also noticed that I had a water leak that was causing a mold problem in my furnace room. They fixed the pipe that was leaking the water (furnace related) and recommended a new furnace eventually. This temporary fix would help temporarily and definetly get me through the next couple months of what is left of winter. Check in hand, waiting for the anticipated $150+ cost, I was told that there would be no charge, since no parts had to be replaced. They were here a little over an hour. Very rarely do you run across such wonderful people that don't charge you for anything. I personally felt their time alone was worth the cost, but they did not want to be paid. I can assure you, when I have to purchase a new furnace next fall, these will be the folks I call.

Thank you to Daryl, Rob, Darrin, and Liviu for making this happen. So far, a positive experience. My furnace died a couple days ago and I rushed to cram in quotes. In the end, I chose Reliable Home Comfort because of their price, but mostly because of their rocking good HomeStars rating. I'm very pleased that I did. Darrin and Liviu did a great job installing my furnace, and answering all of my questions. My house is clean and the new furnace looks great. I'm excited for a new level of comfort in my home.

Rob from Reliable Home Comfort answered a call to take a look at our furnace. It had broken down at (of course!) one of the coldest nights of this year. When he arrived, I explained to him what the problem was and he immediately diagnosed what the problem was - a flame sensor malfunction. This was causing cold air to blow in to my already cold home! He didn't have the replacement part handy, so he cleaned the sensor providing a temporary fix and offered to service our furnace for a very reasonable $129/- on his return visit. I agreed and he very kindly offered to settle the service call when he returned. He set up a time the following week, arrived and promptly cleaned the furnace, adjusted the settings and installed a new flame sensor. What was special about this service was that he did it with professionalism, politeness and friendliness! He even gave me a break on the final price. I must say with I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is in need of an honest, professional furnace technician. Rob, my sincerest thanks to you!

I called Reliable to request a visit to have my furnace repaired. Instead, the person I spoke with asked me about the problem, gave me an idea about what the issue might be, and suggested I call an authorized dealer of parts for my brand of furnace because he is not one (and so the price for the part would be higher). I was so impressed with this - really conscientious and helpful. Thanks for helping me save some money!

All I can say is, above and beyond! After unpleasantly dealing with another well-known big company, who was unable to provide service to my broken down furnace, I decided to give Reliable a call based on the reviews on Homestars. All I can say is I am glad I did! After talking to Darrell on the phone about the issues I was having, the first thing he tried to do was actually help me call the competitors to help demand a service I was not getting (as I was getting nowhere with them). I told him that I would like them to do the work as I was fed up in dealing with this other company. He immediately sent over one of his techs Darrin, to evaluate the situation. When he was done, it was determined that we required a specific part and would be back the next day to fix the issue. When Darrin returned the following day, he replaced the part with the utmost care and followed procedure by the book (which I like). Unfortunately, due to my aging furnace, the part being replaced was too new and would not work with my furnace correctly. Darrin tried EVERYTHING to get it working and showed that the people from Reliable really care for their customers and their quality of work (which was second to none). After discussing it, my wife and I decided to replace the furnace instead of trying to "Band-Aid" the situation. The guys from Reliable (Rob, Darrell, and Darrin) were in the next day and replaced the furnace with speed and professionalism. These guys did a great job and delivered where another big branded company could not. I will be using them in the future for not only the maintenance on the new furnace but any other HVAC issues I have. I have already, and will continue to, recommend them to anyone that needs HVAC services, and hold them in the highest regard. 10++

Daryl and Reliable Home Comfort are amazing! The heating system in my new townhouse was not operating properly for two years while I tried to get the builder to address the issue. When I finally found Reliable Home Comfort and asked them to give me a quote for a new system they sent Daryl in. Daryl immediately honed into the source of the problem (something that the builder, and a number of other people who came to check the system or provide a quote did not), and after one more visit was able to restore my system without changing a single part, utilizing his knowledge, patience and persistence. AMAZING experience. Will not call anyone else ever again! Rob came after hours to look at my furnace to try to figure out why it was short cycling. Figured out the problem in 5 minutes, it didn't need any parts, he fixed it, and all he asked was that I call Reliable when my furnace needs real repair. He proved that true customer service is alive and well, and he gained a customer for life.

One never hopes to have a furnace stop working, especially if it's only 4 yrs old and it occurs in February. Well that happened to me and to top it all off, the original company I hired to do the job, went out of business. Wonderful. Well, I searched around on homestars and read some great reviews about Reliable, so I decided to give them a call. Right from the first call, I was given some helpful troubleshooting advice from Rob Latour. He was forthcoming with information and pleasant to talk to. He arrived the same day and was quickly able to diagnose the problem. He informed me that the furnace was still in great working order..what you hope to hear especially when you think you did your homework when it comes to furnace shopping. The culprit was that although the previous company did a nice and clean install of the new furnace, they didn't bother to check and see if the electrical circuit was a dedicated one and not one that was already on another circuit..plus they just used the existing wiring which was outdated. So although Rob was not able to run the dedicated circuit due to materials shortage, he did manage to rectify the problem temporarily and give me and my family heat. Having your house at 45*F is no fun. So in the end, although what Rob did could be a semi-permanant fix, I opted to have my electrician run the appropriate lines a couple of days later. I would not hesitate to refer Rob Latour and his company Reliable to any of my friends/family for any HVAC related issues. He is professional and knowledgeable. He understands his clients needs and treats them with courtesy and respect. Thanks again Rob and I'll make sure I contact you in the Spring for my A/C maintenance.

Our furnace was turning off. I called on a Sunday morning. Darrell came for a free diagnostic examination a few hours later. He was knowledgable and took the time to explain everything to us and answer our questions. I was impressed with their service.
