Working with Solex was great. The level of detail provided during the inspection and constant communication provided to me on various points of the inspection was what I was looking for. The property had a lot of things going on and I think Solex caught everything and documented the immediate and should do concerns. The follow up report was over 80 pages of detailed information with a lot of pictures, and documented examples. I would work with Solex going forward and recommend to anyone looking for a reliable home inspection.

We hired them without knowing if they were good or not. We are glad we did. They sent an inspector called Vahn... This guy is an amazing inspector..very thorough and knowledgeable. we hired him once and did a pretty good job on a house we wanted to buy...ended up losing to a higher offer but his input was crucial in deciding to put an offer... So we hired him again for another house we were interested in. And here is were he hit it out of the park. He did the inspection with the realtor being there and you know these people can be a little pushy to the inspector so that they give good grades.. However Vahn was unfazed. He critized several aspects of the house and pointed us to many problems...his advise led us to avoid a potential nightmare...As said, he isn't bothered by who's with him. He'll tell the truth to the customer, in this case , us. We've dealt with other home inspectors and we were mildly satisfied, but this guy, just wow. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend Vahn and his company for home inspections.

Vahn was very informative, helpful and thorough. He spent more than three hours going around, over and through the house. He did his assessments, then explained his findings during the inspection itself. The next day he sent a 76 page document that explained in detail all his findings, with photographs for clarity. The document described the most important to the least important concerns and contained several references and links to further describe and clarify his findings. We felt more confident buying our home knowing what to expect, what to fix, and when to do it. We will definitely recommend Vahn's Solex Group to others. We felt it was money well spent and we appreciate the work that went into his inspection and the very thorough and descriptive report we received so quickly which will be a personal home reference manual worth keeping and consulting. From what I've been told, the quality of my reports are another aspect of my service that impress my clients. It's a full colour, easy to read (no messy handwriting) digital report (PDF format) that contains photos, illustrations & diagrams to help explain issues better, my recommendation with time frames on any repairs/corrections/upgrades/etc, a home renovation cost guide as well as other supplementary documents specific to the inspection findings. There are active "live" links to additional detailed information when a term is highlighted in blue (I call it the home encyclopaedia containing hundreds of pages). I also have a summary page at the front with what I feel are the major issues.

We spent a long time researching home inspection companies before finally deciding to use Solex Group and were very impressed with the service provided. Vahn was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and personalable throughout the inspection of our home in Oakville. We got the distinct impression that he is genuinely committed to providing excellent customer service. The inspection was broken down into major areas of the property; roofing, exterior, structure, electrical, heating, cooling, insulation, plumbing and interior. Following a detailed review of each of these, Vahn walked us through his findings using pictures to help us clearly understand the issues and how they can be resolved in the future. He also answered any questions that we had a long the way. Following the inspection, we received a thoroughly detailed report that same evening, which clearly documents all issues (both major and minor) that we discussed during the inspection- along with photographs to support. Vahn did a home inspection for us two months ago and I am still impressed. He was very professional and answered all our questions in patience. We not only got a great inspection but also learned a lot from him. The basement looked damp in multiple places. Vahn identified where is a problem, where is a pass issue, and where is not.
