Nedco is mainly a supplier to the trades but if you know what you want they are prepared to work with you. I went in with drawings from a kitchen designer. I had gone to Robinsons first and was surprised at the prices they were quoting. Nedco was slightly less then half the price and I got the product I wanted.

After finding Steve on Homestars he answered our enquiry promptly and came out multiple times to discuss our fence idea and provide his input. We ended up contracting Steve to complete the entire job which involved removal of any old fence and shrubbery, setting the postholes and building a wooden fence around the perimeter of our yard. We are very happy with the job he did. He built the fence to our specifications but provided great input as needed. He seemed to take great care to make sure everything was aligned just right and finished properly. We would happily use Steve again or recommend to others.

Overall Steve did a great job, from finish to start. After we contacted him, he answered quickly, came on time and gave us a reasonable estimated. He is a nice guy and knows what he is doing. In 2 strait days, the fence was built. It is nice and very strongly built. If only all contractors were as good...

Estimate and Communication Before the Work Steve from Postholes.ca arrived on time with an estimate that was on par with the competition. We took quotes from other fence builders (including a top-ranked Home Stars Fence Builder) and Steve was clearly the most knowledgeable and forthcoming of the three potential builders. He gave us a quote in a timely manner over email that covered the building of our fence, fence gate for our other fence, and removal of older cemented posts from our previous fence that blew down in the winter. Steve also responded promptly to email, thus avoiding further delays in the installation of the fence & gates. Most importantly, Postholes.ca provided a 2 week time frame to build the fence while other builders were giving us a 4-8 week delivery time. Steve did not ask for a deposit (other builders were looking for 50% deposit) The Work Steve and his partner worked meticulously to ensure the challenging needs of our fence (on a slope, working around previously dug postholes), middle gate, and side gate for entry into our yard were met to our satisfaction. They arrived on Saturday to establish the new fence holes and returned the next day to finish the work on the fence. We appreciated the fact that we could be home to view the installation process of our fence. He was very detailed in his building process and worked around our already-established garden. He used 6 x 6 posts to protect the integrity of the middle gate and cemented in every fence post deep into the ground (our previous builder did not cement in every hole). Through his work, we could clearly see his commitment to quality and the long-term reliability of our fence. Postholes.ca clearly hires only true professionals. I was looking for some fence posts installed, as I am pretty handy myself and knew I could build the rest of the fence myself. I sent a note to Steve from the site, and he responded quickly. He asked the right questions, gave me the numbers to make sure I'd received the digging permits - which I got - and then set up the time to arrive nicely in advance. The best thing about the whole process was he communicated the whole way along, answering my silly questions, and letting me know when he was going to come and making sure he had room for his truck to get in and dig the holes. Both him and his assistant were great the morning they installed. Quick, efficient, and made sure that all the property around was well respected (we had to drive through my neighbour's yard). I'd recommend these guys to anyone!

An amazing company to build your fence. Honest, reliable and finish as promised. My neighbour saw them work and was very impressed by their efficiency and best of all clean up afterwards. We saw some neighbours using this company and we checked out their work before using them. They use 6x6 posts and metal tops. The fences they build are very solid. It only take them a few days to finish half the street, and best of all, they did not require any deposits! They just come to collect the money AFTER they've finished the work. Sure they might not be the cheapest around town, but the workmanship and quality is one of the best we've seen! We highly recommend this company!
