We bought a new dryer for a house we just moved into and needed to replace the dryer. The outlet for the dryer needed to be replaced along with an upgrade to our electrical outlet. Sigma came out and did the job. They did a great job and were very professional. I will call them again for future electrical work

I contacted Peter to put in a new electrical panel and replace all the old knob and tube wiring in our 80+ year old house. He was very accomodating. He and his helper Cass were very careful to make as few holes as possible and cleaned up when finished. We called him back to correct a couple of things and had him put a new service from the house to the garage. He really wanted to make sure we were happy with the job and we were. We would certainly recommend him to others.

After a shower leak there was a tingling feeling to the shower handle. When I called Peter he came right away to stop the electrical leak - and then returned a couple of days later to correct the electrical issues that had caused the problem - even though he was hard pressed to find time for us. We were very happy with his prompt, courteous and skillful treatment of our electrical problem. We will be calling him again when other electrical needs arise.

We contacted Sigma Electric in November of last year (sorry for the delay in getting around to the review) to install two new silent bathroom exhaust fans, hook-up of venting to the roof for the same, and install a new roof vent. The owner (Peter) arrived initially for a site visit, and then returned at a later date to complete the work. Peter works on a system similar to other contractors, whereby an initial consultation fee/assessment fee is subsequently deducted from the final bill. His work took a bit longer than expected due to the construction of our ceiling, but he honoured our agreed upon price and cleaned up after himself when he left. He also answered a few unrelated electrical questions and discussed options around the most efficient way to hook-up the switch for our new fans, which meant that we did not need to run a new circuit line. We also wanted to note that Peter is very punctual -- when he says arrive at 9:00 a.m., the doorbell pretty much rings at exactly 9:00 a.m., which I quite liked. His rate was reasonable based on comparison shopping that we did, but scheduling times for work can be difficult. Peter seems to be a victim of his own success i.e., because he does good work he is in high demand, so the time that lapsed between our initial consultation and the actual work date was over two weeks. This was fine for us since we weren't in a hurry to do our job, but other clients may have other considerations. Based on our experience, we would definitely recommend him to others.

We contracted Sigma to rewire our 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms and our 2nd floor bathroom. Piotr and Cas did a fabulous job! Conscientious and meticulous are the best words to describe them. They were able to run the new wiring up from the basement (which is fully finished) with a minimum number of holes -- they even found a way to make the holes as inconspicuous as possible. We are very pleased with the result, and have already hired Sigma for another electrical project. Thank-you, again.

Peter, of Sigma Electric, was hired by me to replace the remaining knob and tube wiring on the second floor of my house. He was hired over other contractors given the reasonableness of his quote, his very pleasant manner, and a knowledge that his company had qualified as a participant in the Approved Contractor Program of the Ontario Electrical Safety Authority - a qualification held only by those with proven technical competence. This decision was clearly the right choice. Despite the challenges of the job - hours spent in a dark and dirty attic, endless trips from that attic to the electrical panel in the basement and then up again, inexplicable and dangerous wiring situations uncovered and corrected - the job was completed quickly and competently with minimal disruption to my home. In consequence, I could not recommend Peter and his company more.

I met Peter at one of his jobs and liked his attitude. Since then I've recommended Peter to both friends and customers of mine and have always had excellent feedback. Yesterday I had the pleasure of having him at my house and I was very pleased with the job that he did.

Peter is an honest, trustworthy man who completed the job efficiently and conscientiously. He is a knowledgeable and skilful master electrician, who checked all outlets, plugs, etc. to ensure their safety and repaired what was needed. Told by insurance company that I had to remove all the knob and tube wiring in my hundred year old house, I got a series of Quotations. The worst was a contractor and Electrician who quoted 60 thousand dollars to remove all the interior walls and demanded that we move everything out of the house (including my whole family) into storage for 6 weeks. Peter from Sigma Electric did the job of rewiring the whole house in one week while we lived there, not just removing the old wiring with only 7-8 holes in total which he repaired before leaving, but also adding safety features such as wired smoke detectors at no extra cost. I could not recommend him more highly. He was a pleasure to work with and he and his colleague had a great sense of Humor. He was totally trustworthy and professional in every way and from our first meeting I felt completely comfortable entrusting him with the keys to my house while I continued to work. He checked in with me by cellphone as needed but otherwise completed the job as agreed and on schedule without any need for supervision. I have recommended him without reservation to all my colleagues and friends.

I had Piotr diagnose 2 problems in my house. The first was the repair of kitchen lights that were not working. The lights were connected to a transformer that was defective, however, the transformer was hidden behind the walls and was nowhere to be found. Piotr ran new wiring and installed a new transformer. The lights now work. The 2nd problem I had was a flickering of lights, and a resetting of my clocks every few weeks. Piotr worked hard to diagnose the cause of the problem. He attempted fix 3 or 4 possible problems that may have been the cause. He was on time, quoted a very fair price and guaranteed the work. He is an honest guy who works hard. Hes a quality guy. Sam.
