First they were extremely patient with my many rebookings, secondly their prices are really reasonable, thirdly their work is top notch and finally, to say that they went above and beyond what would be expected of them, is an understatement. Plumber Dane showed up right on time for his appointment to find me outside of my house having just been viciously attacked by a feral cat, screaming in pain and gushing blood. He immediately attended to me and called for help and also took took even more of his time to describe the animal and scene to animal services! Dane, how can I thank you enough?? From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!

Rick and Tyler came to do the install of furnace and hot water tank and man what a great job they did. They went above and beyond. I would strongly recommend them if you want a great job done. They explained what they did and made sure we know how to work everything. I know I am going on and on about this but it was a great experience from start to finish. Thanks again

They upsold my dad for a jet tub, when the tub was installed it wasn't the jet tub my dad thought he was getting. When we called to get things sorry out they were friendly and kind said they would call us back and offer solutions to make it right, and we never heard from them again. Don't use them, they're shady shifters

Great service for furnace repair from Rick - more than happy to come out on an evening weekend call, arrived on time, knowledgable, and personable fellow! He obviously enjoys his job and it was a pleasure dealing with him. I would definitely recommend Shortys for your repairs.

I called Shorty's after having a non stop and extremely irritating drip coming from the toilet. I put in a new gasket so knew that wasnt the issue. When I called the office they arranged an appointment within the week. I had read reports on the company and although they had generally favourable reviews there was a better business report where someone complained about a $75 service charge that was never mentioned before a technician was sent out, so I knew to expect this charge just to have someone access the problem. You can imagine my disappointment to find there was actually a $145. charge just to determine the problem. The young man who came out was pleasant, understanding and mentioned this had happened in the past. How disappointing that at no time was I advised that the cost to send some out was actually double what was obviously a point of contention with a prior client plus even when I received a reminder the day prior to the appointment was I advised of this cost. As I said, the plumber who came out was professional, courteous and understanding but undoubtedly put in a difficult position. Not being upfront with customers is certainly not the way to build customer satisfaction. Very disappointed!!!

Shorty's had installed a new furnace and hot water tank for us and I feel that they were professional throughout the entire process, from service to quoting to install. I was worried there might be hidden fees or issues, but everything went according to plan. They were professional and displayed great workmanship. I was very happy with the level of service and overall felt the experience was perfect - the way it should always be! I requested quotes from 7 companies before deciding who to go with and moving forward. Shorty's was comparable in price and service. Everyone I spoke to; service rep, sales rep and then the installers were all friendly and helpful answering some complicated questions and being patient through the process. I highly recommend them based on the last 5 years of service with them.

My Fiance and I bought a house in the country a month before winter and had no heat. There was an existing oil furnace in which now, those are no longer to code and can't be used. We were in a huge rush to get our home livable.
We contacted many Furnace/Heating companies and amongst those, a few were quite delayed with getting back to us, even with explaining our urgency. We even had one decline the job because they were too busy.

We contacted Shorty's and with the friendly, prompt service and the understanding of our urgency as well, we choose them!

They gave us great options and we found one that worked well for our home. Running new ducts and using some existing (as we requested), the install was done very timely and professionally. Our basement looks even nicer and we have a lot more head room as he tied them into the ceiling.
Who would have thunk!?
We haven't had any problems with our furnace and are so happy we found a great company to work with!

And we are warm!!
I highly commend and recommend them!
