We booked our job almost 9 months in advance (the weather didn't co-operate for a fall project), but it was worth the wait. Darren and his crew worked long days to deliver the final result, and he was incredibly congenial about the last minute changes I requested. I was glad to see that they took on smaller projects as well as larger ones so decided to call them. Darren takes the time to meet with you and listen to your ideas while providing good input on how to improve the final product. In under four weeks, Darren and team transformed our landscape dream into reality! While our job may not have been the largest or most time consuming, it did have a number of complicating factors that had to be effectively managed in order for the whole concept to come together. On top of that, we were doing this type of project for the first time, so we had plenty of questions that may have added a level of difficulty. Found Landecks using Homestars and we were extremely pleased with the final results. Darren promised us the best quote and sure enough he delivered and the new stone patio he and his team built looks stunning. All of our neighbours are now asking where we got it done and co-workers are calling them to get their patios done. Darren and his wife Kathleen are so easy to deal with and so knowledgable and go above and beyond for the customer. The job was done on time and it was clean and the crew was great with our young son which meant a lot as well. We could not be happier with the work that Darren and his team designed and built for our family. We had heard very good things about Landecks and Darren, but they still exceeded our expectations! The patio, stairs, and entrance they built are beautiful, well built, and even better than we hoped. We hired Landecks this spring to design and execute our backyard landscaping plans. We met with several (I think 5) other landscape companies before retaining Landecks and after working with Darren, our choice was very clear. He was extremely responsive and attentive and struck the right balance between offering suggestions while not trying to impose his views over ours. He was very attentive to what we were looking for in a plan but didn't just draw up what we described; he offered suggestions and ideas that greatly improved the overall design. He was a pleasure to work with. When it came to execution, the Landecks team was outstanding. They were extremely professional and hardworking and very eager to please. Landecks provided exceptional landscaping service, and totally exceed my expectations. I did not hire a professional landscape designer to design my front yard, but I have a vision and drew up a sketch plan, however it is not in scale and ‘misleading’. Out of 5 landscapers that I have talked to, Darren is the only one told me that I can’t have steps as there is not enough slope and it is not safe to have a shallow step. When I questioned him after a month, he offered to come back on site again and still told me building a step would not work for my front porch. I went to a paver/stone supplier to check for references, Darren is highly recommended. After two long months of waiting, I finally have my dream front walkway and garden built! Darren and his team are hard working, courteous, professional and did a fantastic job. Darren is very organized and efficient, he was on site throughout the entire project and is very hands-on, he operates that bobcat and other types of machines (not sure of their names) like a surgeon with a knife. Darren is also a perfectionist, every rock, every stone, every plant has to be at right location with right angle, and yeah, he has good taste for design. His recommendation on stone color, paver layouts etc. really made the difference. He combines function, style and quality together and with his experience and expertise, the final project is a showpiece. My husband was so pleased with the team and asked me not to try to save money by doing the planting ourselves (surprise to me). So we had the team did everything. Darren and his team did a lot of the little extra work for us without any complains or charging us. At the end of 4 days, my anxiety and worry turned to over joy and satisfaction.
