I am very impressed by Affordable Insulation as Jason and Sid both have gone well above my expectations. During the initial meeting, Jason was professional and took his time in explaining the type of insulation being used, advantages/disadvantages and the installation process. In his quotation he advised me that for a 3100 Sq ft. home it will be an all day installation and that my current R19 rating will be brought up to R52. On installation day Sid showed up a bit late, but quickly make up for it by not charging extra for the many issues found in my attic. Issues such as all three bathroom fans needed to have insulated ducting reconnected, blue vapour protection installed over the fan housing, reinstalled the attic window covering and repaired existing baffles. Great care was given to make sure no mess was made and sheets/mats were laid out. Further, Sid realized the smell of varnish in my home due to the newly installed hardwood flooring and offered to lend an air scrubber for a week! Wow! Who does that in this day and age! Absolutely amazing! Ever since the installation I have noticed the house retaining heat as the outside temperature at night falls in the low teens. Highly Recommended!

Jason gave me a very detail quotation. Explaining the entire process in details. Also helping me to idenfity a lot of insulation problem in my house. The team spent the whole day in my house to fix different problem at the attic. covering pot light with cool blue vapour, fixing existing baffles, adding more baffles, reconnecting lose pipe, fixing bathroom fan connection, even replaced one of the fans for me. Passed a few hot days since the installation, I definitly feel the difference upstairs. even the main floor has minor difference. During the installation, they made minimal noise in the house. And they left no mess in the house.

Jason responded promptly to my request for a home visit and quote. He was very informative about his initial inspection and a pleasure to speak with. Jason explained in detail what he saw (or didn’t see) in my attic and the work that would be undertaken by his crew. He was also forthcoming in mentioning items that may be uncovered after the more detailed inspection by Syd and Rod on the day they arrive to blow in the insulation, so there would be no last minute surprises. When the day came Syd and Rod certainly took the time to fully inspect the house and attic. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and recommendations were appreciated and valued. Syd did discover an issue in the attic that -- should I choose to address it -- he recommended be dealt with prior to their proceeding with the job. I imagine most other contractors at this point would have packed up and said see you later. Not Syd and Rob. Unbeknownst to me, the previous homeowners had tossed a lot of debris into the attic. Syd and Rob stuck around and spent a fair amount of time clearing it out in preparation for the day they could proceed with blowing in the insulation. When they finally were able to proceed, they left the property spotless - without a trace of their having been here. I’m already noticing a difference with the added insulation in that the A/C isn’t on nearly as much.

Jason took the time to explain everything to us. My husband was impressed by their professionalism, and they offered great solutions. I noticed that my 2nd floor is not as warm as it used to be since the insulation. Love their warranty! Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for attic insulation.

I called Affordable Insulation on a recommendation from the people who replaced our windows. I was impressed not only by their professionalism, but how much they cared about my home. I wanted a contracter who would come and do a good job, a proper job, with excellent materials, and who would treat my home like it was their own. From the quote to the finished job, I trusted their work and their expertise. I even refered them to my parents who also used Affordable Insulation to re-insulate their attic. They are not the cheepest, but in my oppionion the extra cash was worth the peace of mind.

I highly recommend this company. I called back in April and Jason came to inspect, explain our attic insulation condition and provide a quote. We agreed for the work to occur in late April. But then I was planning to replace my bathroom vans and couldn't do it on time before the work so I called Jason and he kindly agreed to change the schedule to May. They came on time as promised to do the work. They didn't rush and took the time to review and explain. They took pictures for me to see the insulation before the work and after the work. It took half a day to complete. Very fiendly and we chatted after the work was done while watching HGTV show. After the insulation we certainly feel the difference. Totally a satisfied customer!

After more than 2 years since Affordable Insulation completed my upgrade, I was still disappointed that an addition to my house did not have sufficient attic insulation. At no fault to this Contractor, this space was not included in the contract. My home was not completely insulated and the space required attention.
