We purchased a newly renovated home and needed insulation. Jason, the general manager of the company was prompt and courteous. He answered all our questions and provided an excellent price. The business is family owned and operated. His staff (family members), were very respectful and treated my home with care and attention as if it were their own home. They took the time to asses my roof and were able to "go that extra mile" and explain some minor issues that had transpired when the previous owner put on the new roof of my house. In fact, with no extra charge, they were able to mitigate these minor issues with my roof to ensure added value from the insulation upgrade to my home. We hired Affordable Insulation to top up the insulation in our attic. Our home is 30 years old and the insulation had never been topped up! Jason came and did an inspection and was very clear and happy to answer any questions we had. The team that came to do the insulation took great care to keep our home clean and went the extra mile for us as we had a hole in the drywall in our ceiling and they repaird it for us - free of charge! Affordable Insulation installed attic insulation in my home late summer 2012. During the cold spell this winter my home is so warm and comfortable. It's so nice to meet a company who do their job so well and take pride in serving their customers. Sid and his team went above and beyond when installing my home insulation. Sid discovered some under-insulated water pipes in my attic which could have been a potential disaster. He built a foam box, sealed it up and blew extra insulation on top to make sure the pipes didn't freeze up on us. He didn't even charge us for the extra work. A detailed, highly ethical and meticulous company. So glad I chose them.

did an incredible work for my basement and have to say its way more a room than a basement now! plus the heating stays much much longer than before . The cost was affordable and worth it for the material and work they put into it . definitely will recommend to anyone needing work to their homes

Very professional at each encounter. Jason great when providing the quote and did not rush in answering my questions. Made my decision based on that meeting and the reviews here on Homestars. Had to wait longer than I would have liked to get the work done because these guys are in demand. On the day of the install, Syd and Rob were very polite and respectful, taking lots of care. I was invited several times to inspect the work part way though the process and again at the end, including the feeder machine in the truck. Very happy with their work, its nice to get what you pay for !

We recently had our home attic insulation upgraded by AI&R and have been quite pleased with the positive impact it has had on retaining heat throughout the colder months. We worked with Jason and Syd throughout the process – both have an eye for detail and treat your house as if they were working on their own. We needed a remedy to a cold bedroom over a garage. Although we already had spray foam, the cavity between garage ceiling and existing spray foam was creating a cold bedroom floor. We had two quotes to redo the spray foam and were not happy about tearing out the existing garage ceiling and the out of home time required after the spray foam application. I met Jason at the Oakville Home show. He immediately had some alternatives to the spray foam. After an in home consultation, we went ahead with the recommended work. We had our bedroom remedy and we addressed the lack of attic insulation. The work was completed in a timely fashion and Sid was always mindful of the fact he was working in my "home". Also, they took extra pre-cautions around the pot lights that extended into the attic to ensure the safety of our family. I have already recommended this company to my neighbours.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Jason Girard from Affordable Insulation several months ago to discuss our insulation needs. We found him to be very well informed and knowledgeable regarding his product and service as well as that of the competitors. He explained the ins and outs of various products in the market and at no time did he apply pressure to go with Affordable. His intent was to insure that we were educated and capable of making a decision that would be satisfying from a cost and performance perspective. Jason was very interested in understanding our needs as home owners and what our expections would be of the product and service. He left our home without a purchase order as we were still reviewing our options and he was more than attentive when we had follow up questions. On many occassions they asked me to come up to the attic and review their work to date, to insure that I witnessed just how thorough they were and how much attention was paid to every detail. We did not have the easiest attic to insulate and Jason's team took great pleasure in showing me just how efficient they were in managing every detail no matter how difficult the area. The home was not disturbed during this process and the house was kept extremely clean throughout the install. From the initial meeting with Jason, through the installation and with the followup up conversations following completion of the project we found Jason and the team from Affordable Insulation to be extremely efficient and professional in delivering a great product.
