We chose TopHat after reviewing all options in the area. TopHat (Glen and team) just seemed to better understand our questions and provide meaningful, no-nonsense answers. We had a tricky situation with my roof/ceiling configuration and were very concerned about how the installation would look in our main living room. Shane and the team took every step to understand our concerns and ensure the installation was exactly what we wanted. The install was perfect as we requested. We have used our stove as the primary heating source for 2 years now. It works perfectly and heats our 1400 sq st home ...all while looking great. The only time we let the fire go out in the winter is to clean out the ashes (once every 4 or 5 days) Its a Pacific Energy Summit LE from year 2022 and we are extremely pleased with it. PS these modern wood stoves need good ventilation so it took us a few fires to figure this out.

We called Top Hat for service repair for our chimney: change the liner because they are the one that installed our gaz fire place and our wood fire place. We were very happy with the products they sold us. So we called them in July 2024 and they gave us an appointment on November 9th 2024. They called us today to cancel the appointment telling us they won't drive one hour in Winter time... No arguments were good enough to make them change their mind! Very disappointing!!! Now, Winter at our door, we need to find someone else to do the repairs.!

Darian and Brian just cleaned my chimney. They were polite, answered all our questions, gave suggestions and were neat. They did a great job.

My Mom and I had a roofing issue recently. John of Top Hat Home Comfort Services was very helpful indeed. John came over to inspect the roof the very next day after I called him. He provided a comprehensive report with pictures, options for repair and/or replacement and a reasonably priced estimate. I was relieved. John was not pushy and came back twice to reassess after yet another wind storm. He was friendly, efficient and professional. John sent me an informative article on roofing and didn't make me feel guilty or embarrassed about my indecision. Top Hat has now worked with us on getting roof resolved. It ended up being the incorrect insulation installed in attic by other company. Top Hat did install roof correctly and is working with us to get repaired. TOP HAT did our roof, many crooked nails, leaky roof, they will not call us back when we phone them. Poor job on roof for all the money we paid, nails need to be straight, this is a critical part of the job. Warranty on roof, means nothing.

Recently had a gas insert installed in my fireplace. I had used Top Hat for other services in the past so turned to them this time as well. I was not disappointed. Shayne and his crew were extremely professional. I am very happy with the installation. He took the time to explain the features of the fireplace to me. They left the work site clean as well. I will definitely consider using Top Hat for other services in the future.

Mike and Justin are very professional and polite. They arrived on time with a smile on their face. They worked very efficiently and kept their workplace clean. I would recommend those two any day.

Very pleased with TopHat regarding our fireplace insert (Neo1.6) From sales to cleaning to inspection to installation, the process was so very well coordinated. Impressed with all services. My 1 year old pellet stove wasnt burning well and I requested Tophat to review the situation and help correct. The serviceman that came had no idea why the stove wasnt buring properly. The stoves normally burn fairly clean requiring cleaning 1 per 5 or 10 bags fuel. This needed cleaning every bag and the serviceman only told me to clean it again. He refused to show me any place that I could have missed, refused to clean it or even attempt a reasonable inspection. I will never purchase from or refer tophat home services again.

We bought a new home and the home inspection revealed we needed new flashing on the chimney. The whole process from start to finish with Top Hat was really easy. We didn't have to be here for the estimate and we didn't have to be there for the work either. We were unsure with which colour to choose to match the rest of the venting/eavestrough and they helped us pick out the right colour. They were very quick to respond with us and it was a really easy process.
