I looked in the phone book and found them to install a sink but I really should have compared prices with other companies first. The service was very good and quick in the end but they were incredibly expensive.

Our shower started leaking into the ceiling late on a Sunday night so we flipped through a Yellow Pages to find someone who could come out and fix it. We had to call Action Auger repeatedly to get them to come out as soon as possible because we weren't going to pay for someone to fix the ceiling as well because one company couldn't come quickly enough. However the serviceman was wonderful! He couldn't have been more polite, or nicer, and was just a really nice fellow. He fixed the issue right away and was absolutely amazing.

I eventually paid a different company $90.00 for the installation for hot and cold shut off valves under the bathroom vanity. I had to pay Action Auger a show up fee of $69.95 where they had a min pre set price sheet of $130 per item. Action Auger price $531.95 Competitors price $90.00

Last year awoke to find water rushing out of the pressure relief valve/tube on our hot water heater. Between the time I called Action Auger and the time they showed up, had done my research and figured out it was a ~$15 pressure relief valve (Home Depot pricing) that had failed, killed the gas and water to it and drained the tank. Action shows up and the pricing was ~$270 if they replace the valve (imagine that included show-up fee), and an extra ~$130 to re-light the pilot light. To top it off, they were pushing me to replace our 7.5 year old 40 or 50 gallon tank for ~$1,300. All over a ~$15 part that failed and less than an hour of their time. Extremely disappointed in the pricing, which was standardized on sheets. Only points given were for their timeliness on a holiday, but if you're somewhat handy, despite how bad it looks, calm down, do some research, and see if it's within your ability to fix it yourself!

We have used "The Gentlemen Plumbers" in two instances. We were very impressed with how fast they were able to come to our home and how fast they resolved the issues we were experiencing with our plumbing. They seemed a bit higher priced than other companies, but we were so grateful that they were able to get the job done so quickly.

AWFUL PRICES! 380 DOLLARS FOR 20 MINUTES OF WORK! There was a leaking hot water pipe where an old t had been. I found the leak but had to go out of town before I was able to fix it. The t was no longer in service so the job was incredibly simple.... Take out the top and solder in a straight section of copper pipe.... There was no quote over the phone... (And their pricing scheme would allow for one) and a 65 dollar. "showing up fee" if you don't agree with their insane prices you waste 70 dollars on absolutely nothing.... And you are out a plumber! He also didn't fix the pipe like he said he was going to... He couldn't solder it because he was too overweight to reach.. So he put in a section of pvc where he said he was going to put copper in.... And then told me that he should have charged me an "access fee" because it wasn't accessible enough but he was going to be nice.... 360 dollars for a glued in piece of pvc!!

I've also became aware that you were not on site when our tech was there so maybe you have been mis informed by the scope of the project and the time taken to complete the project. According to our gps units on the company trucks, the time dedicated towards this job was between 3:33pm to 6:17pm. Hopefully this information helps as I can understand the concern if you thought this was just a 20 minute job.

Called them and said the line to the septic tank was froze. (It has happened before). They sent out a truck Friday afternoon and did not have the right equipment for a frozen line. The guy said he would be back first thing monday morning. Monday noon he shows up and frees the line $730 later.
