I had Action furnace install an A/C unit for me. The first installers left the thermostat set to 28 degrees when they left by mistake, the 2nd installer who came to balance the unit broke some glass in my basement and left the cover off of my furnace. The original work order was to have the unit put on a bracket and through some confusion with my wife and the installer they installed it on the ground. When I phoned to explain that it was suppose to be on a bracket they said it was no problem and they would fix it free of charge. After different 2 installers on 2 separate dates showed up and complain that is a lot of work and they won't do it for free, the office phoned me back a told me that they are no longer going to do it for free or even come to a middle ground agreement. They told me there are other furnace companies in Calgary and I should have them do it. Very disappointed. First installers were good, second installer was terrible, the people in the office will promise you the world and deliver on nothing. I would avoid this company

Action Furnace has apologized for the miscommunication in the office. One of the homeowners and the original installer agreed to place the unit on a pad. This satisfied the customers. Once spring rolled around we were informed that the homeowners pets were using the condenser as a washroom and it was a personal preference of the the homeowner to now have the unit placed on brackets. Because this was a case of the homeowner changing his mind AFTER the original install, yes, we would charge the customer for this service. I hope this helps to better explain the situation.

Excellent! Called for a quote and a few days later Ryan showed up. He did a through check of our home to determine the required A/C cooling size. He was very knowledgeable and personable and when we were done we knew that going with Action was a good choice. A day before the scheduled installation Ryan called and informed us that they had no stock on the A/C unit we were to have installed. He offered us a free upgrade to the next model ($650). When the installation day arrived there were 4 installers who were all very polite and efficient. They completed the job in the estimated time of 3.5 hours. When they were done I was given a detailed explanation of how the system works and we reviewed all the components. They had all the paperwork in order and went through a final checklist too. I highly recommend Action Furnace.

Hot water tank sprung a leak. Next day got a quote over phone from AF, came within hours and had the whole job done within the day! Upfront with costs, no hidden fees, friendly contractor.

Thank goodness we did this in the summer,This company was in and out in three days. Still trying to regulate temperatures in all rooms but getting good service to do so. Air conditioning has been wonderful addition to our home.

We moved into an older home and had massive renovations. Action Furnace replaced our 2 old furnaces and hot water tank with 2 high efficiency furnaces and hot water tanks. They were very professional, reliable, on time and cleaned up afterwards. I met with other companies for other quotes and Action Furnace was honest, competitive and professional.

Other tech diagnosed the gas valve on 2 yr old York furnace had failed. Policy is to charge diagnostic fee even if under warranty. Reason for policy, says the owner, is to avoid nuisance calls. This wasn't a nuisance call. Not willing to waive tech diagnostic fee. Turns out it wasn't warranty but needed service. I don't mind paying for service, and if it was warranty they still would have charged me. Tech was great, customer service is not. Why so much hassle over $49? Was not a pleasant way to spend my day, freezing cold and arguing with owner over fairness of policy. Could have been avoided all either of us had to say was "if warranty problem, no service charge." Oh well.

We have a stellar 7 year history of Customer Service and receive many compliments regarding ZERO inflation on our diagnostic fee in the past 7 years. And yes, if we have installed your furnace for you and it breaks down in the first year, you do not pay a cent. If it breaks down after the first year, a diagnostic fee is assessed and everything else is covered under parts and labour warranty! Industry Standard!

They were fast to contact me through their emergency email system, and set up a time to install a new hot water tank. I was not able to get through on their phone system to provide them with the information they requested, so used their emergency email system. I took the day off work. No one showed up, no one returned my messages. After several messages, I was called. They had not checked their messages. The next date they could offer was four days later, requiring me to take another day off work. Not impressed. A waste of my time.

During the heat wave we had, I saw a flyer from Action Furnace and thought..mmm, I will probably be charged double and it'll take a month to get an install date. I e-mailed for a quote. Within the hour Gayla from Action Furnace replied and sent out Ryan their sales manager. Couldn't have dealt with a more professional and easy going person. (He might need to work on his golf game though). He said there is no way Action Furnace will ever up sell due to weather and the wait list (the day of the quote it was about 32 C) would be 12 days. Once I received the quote (NOPE, NO UPSALE) I said, let’s go with it. He mentioned to me being put on a wait list. Within 1 day, Ryan called and asked if the next day would be ok to put in the AC. The installers, Jed and Adam, introduced themselves and got started. These guys were fantastic. Any question I had they answered, they were done within 4 hours, gave me the tour on how to work it and what to expect for winterizing. I would recommend Action Furnace. From start to finish all the people I dealt with were fantastic. Glad I could wear my toque in my very cold house. It even kept my beers cold. Thanks guys

Our old water tank was leaking and had to be replaced. We searched in the Internet and found Action Furnace. On June 4, 2012, 2 gentlemen came and replaced our old water tank in 1 hour and 10 minutes. They did all the clean up and removed the old tank without even 1 drop of rusty water on the carpet. They charged me $719 + GST. Several years ago, I paid over $900 for another tank. I was very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone.
