Oscar the wonder worker

DVD recorder/player repair Oscar came to my house at the time he said he would. He fixed my DVD recorder/player quickly and for a reasonable amount and brought it back to me the next day. He is very professional and knows what he is doing. I highly recommend him.

Excellent fast service - water ozonator repair

Water Ozonator Oscar impressed us with fast excellent service and kindness. A genuine gentleman, very reliable.
We will count on him in future.

He fixed my ozonator better than I expected in just couple of hours and it runs like brand new one.
So grateful and happy we found him.

AMI Repair Service Inc is prompt and fair

LCD Repair I brought in my Samsung LCD TV for repair. The problem was diagnosed within 2 hrs. - no cost, or obligation. I agreed to the repair costs and my TV was ready for pick-up 90 minutes later. Top-notch service at a fair price!

DR. Oscar Moz

Trouble shoot and repair late model LCD Took my late model LCD in for repairs at 12noon. Explained the problem and before I was finished the DR. knew the problem, and had the set apart. At 8pm. the same day I had the set back working perfectly. Friendly prompt service was much appricated.. Free pick-up, delivery,and estimates. WELL DONE

My man Moz

TV repair So my TV starts doing all kinds of weird stuff on its own, like turning off and on for example. I call Samsung and of course they can't help me. Some lady in Tennesee recommends some place an hr from my house. (don't have a car)
So I google some other places and there's this rinky dink website (no offense Oscar, I did say it to your face!?)
This guy comes and picks up my TV like 2 hours after I call!! I gotta admit that for a second I never thought I was gonna see it again, I think it was the website :), but he just felt like a real honest guy so...
Anyways, I have my TV back 24 hours later, delivered with a parts and service warranty! For that kind of service, very reasonable price!
Tell everybody, Oscar's the man, send everyone his way!!

Thanks Oscar. Not many honest ppl left!!

Oscar is my hero!

repaired wireless headset for xbox 360 I got a wireless headset for my xbox 360 for Christmas. When I opened the package and plugged it in to charge the battery for the first time the four lights didn't blink like they were supposed to. I called many different places and they all told me that they couldn't fix it.

I found this place on the internet and called to see if they could do it. The guy on the phone said yes and that I should bring it in and he would look at it. I dropped it off before I went to see a movie and was told that I would get a phone call the next day. I got home from the movie maybe 3 hours later to find that he had called me about one hour after I dropped it off. I called back and he said that he had looked at it and explained to me what was wrong. Not only that but it was already fixed! He told me that he would be there for another half hour if I wanted to pick it up. I couldn't make it that soon so I just picked it up in the morning.

On his website it says that he can help you if the retailer or manufacturer refuses to help you and it's completely true. I will recommend this place to anyone who asks me about a place to get any sort of electronics repaired.

Oscar was awesome!

HD Television repair On Thursday we realized our bedroom television would not turn on. We called Oscar on Friday afternoon and he came to our house Friday night to check it out. How great! A TV repairman who makes house calls! It didn't take long for him to discern the problem and he called us back on Sunday with the part we needed. Our TV is already fixed, Oscar came to our house twice, and he is guaranteeing the part and labor for 6 months minimum.
Really, this guy is a class act. Completely honest and knowledgeable, and we found him on Homestars!

Oscar Moz is my new go-to guy

A discontinued lithium-ion battery pack for digital camera AMI was recommended to me by a rep at Downtown Camera, when they couldn't help me with service on, or replacement of, my 6-year-old out-of-warrantee item. Upon walking into the shop, I didn't know what to make of it. The place is tiny -- a little 'hole-in-the-wall' establishment, walls packed floor-to-ceiling, literally, with electronic appliances and parts, (seemingly pell-mell style, although I'm sure there's some sort of method to the apparent madness here), in various states of disassembly.

I had to actually weave my way through waist-high towers of naked (unboxed) televisions, CD/DVD players, stereo components, keyboards, etc., all garnished with assorted remote controls, calculators, circuit boards, and other electronic miscellanea, to reach the service desk -- again literally, an old office desk -- strewn with the proprietor's paperwork, and more bits of electronica. But looks can be deceiving, and I considered the possibility that perhaps the place was so peppered with bits and pieces of just about anything you plug in to a wall because they got 'just so much business'.

I was pleasantly surprised at the speed and quality of service. I was given a clear and understandable explanation of the diagnostics that would be performed to determine the problem, and was asked how much it had cost me when I bought it -- because, once an estimate was ready, he said, it wouldn't make sense to charge me more than I'd payed for it new, if replacing it with a new unit would be cheaper. Honest, practical thinking, and this was coming from someone who could've just taken my money.

I was told I would have an estimate by the next day, and left my ph#. Sure enough, the next day Oscar called me at work (I'd left my home#, and when my gf got the call, and gave them my work#, he actually called me at work rather than simply leave a message for me! That extra effort was much appreciated.) The price was agreeable (after dropping it off, I'd priced comparable items, in case I'd have to just buy a new one). Oscar's fee was commensurate with current prices for new units, but was still much less than I'd spent initially. Besides, since I'd only been able to find "similar" items, but none actually compatible with my needs, it made sense to go ahead with the repair of the item I already knew would work for me -- if only it still worked.

I was pleasantly surprised that the item was repaired to full functionality, and back in my hands, in just 24 hours. I'd walked through the door prepared to wait anywhere between 1 to 4 weeks. But in his own words, Oscar "tries to work quickly to fix it". And boy, did he ever. Oscar is a friendly, very likeable guy. Easy to chat with, he seems eager to befriend and endear himself to his clients, with sincerity. He strikes me as a forthright man who knows what he's talking about, and will give you the straight answers you want.

I left the shop with the conclusion that maybe the reason the place is so cluttered, maybe the reason they got 'just so much business', is that they're 'just so good' at what they do.

Oscar was wonderful!

Digital Video Recorder repair Oscar offered a free estimate (nobody offers that!) so I got a no-risk quote on the repair. Two capacitors had burst so he had to clean the board as well as replacing 6 capacitors. Whole thing cost $125 (VERY reasonable and far cheaper than replacing the unit) and he did it the same day! Not only that, I had mentioned I really wanted to record the Obama inauguration the next day, and when I called later to say I couldn't get there to pick it up before closing, he said he would be working late and I could pick it up later that evening. Fast, competent, reasonable, and incredibly nice--what more could you ask for? Oh yeah--a 6 month warranty on labor and a year warranty on parts. And he shrink wrapped it so it wouldn't get wet in the snow on the way home. Highly recommended!

Saved me $300

Cellular telephone repair Oscar was able to repair my PDA cellphone which two other repair shops said could not be fixed. And it was fixed the same day. I am very satisfied with Oscar's work.
