In 2003, Doug and his crew turned a nondescript brown lawn with a few trees and junipers into an outstanding natural oasis including a dry stream, small pond, front courtyard, and a water wise garden. It looks great in all seasons. There are distinct sections of the garden including an alpine garden, English stye garden, and a courtyard oasis. Doug created a composition using good design principles of harmony, dominance, repetition, rhythm, cohesion, movement, contrast, and scale. The wonderful sandstone boulders are indigenous to Calgary and connect beautifully with the surrounding area. The garden has created a sense of community and enjoyment for ourselves and others. Many of our neighbours thanked us for creating a neighbourhood garden for everyone to enjoy. People who are passing by either on foot or driving often stop to view the garden and to complement the work of Doug and his crew. The cost estimates were accurate and the work was completed in a timely fashion. Doug was easy to work with and maintains a high sense of integrity and genuine excitement about his work. We had our front and backyard professionally landscaped by Doug Bourgoyne of Natural Landscapes a number of years ago, and wish to comment that he did an absolutely fantastic job for us. He tranformed a rather simple space into an oasis that we have thoroughly enjoyed over the years. We had Natural Landscapes/ Doug Burgoyne design and create our Backyard in 1986. We were so delighted and enjoyed it so much that in 1990 we decided to do something with the front yard. So we spoke breifly with Doug. We had left for a golf holiday and when we returned Doug had the plans drawn up and was ready to go. He started right away and had the job completed in 4 1/2 days. He constructed winding pathways sutible for wheel chairs, water feature, patio, and trees, shrubs and perennials and Screens. Two years later we entered our garden into the Horticultural Society garden competition and had over 2000 people come and view the front yard landscaping. It won three awards for curb appeal, water garden and perennial garden. We have enjoyed it emensely eversince and recently decided it was time to update our garden and had Natural Landscapes come back. We enlarged our water feature and created a beautiful sitting area around the pond. We are so excited and we are looking forward to enjoying our garden well into our Golden Years. After the miracle Natural Landscapes performed on our previous property's "challenged" backyard from weed infested squalor to the appearance of a golf course green on a par three, we engaged them for our brand-new home. Yet again, amzing results. We had the most outstanding landscaping on the street. Not an easy feat for homes in the $700,000 price range.

We had our landscaping done last spring early summer by Natural Landscapes. Doug was very professional and did a great job with our drawings. The guys that he had working with him to do the landscaping did a great job and we were very pleased with the end results.

Natural Landscapes completed my landscaping in the summer of 2011. The yard incorparated about 50 ton of sandstone for walls and stairs. I was very happy with the end results.

Natural Landscapes did a wonderful job. not only does our yard look great but the few trees that died over the winter were replaced in a timely manner. Doug was knowledgable and did a great job chosing plants and trees for our lot.
