We had Otto and his team replace some bricks on our house and they did a great job. There was one brick put in that didn't match the others and I brought this to Otto's attention. He totally agreed and he got the brick replaced with one that was a better match. We've had chimney work done by Otto in the past as well and the work was great. He is so good about really listening to his clients and if I ever had a concern or wasn't totally happy with something he always had it fixed to my liking. He also makes sure that the job is done properly and never expects payment until it is completely finished to the customer's satisfaction. I would strongly recommend him.

The mason who was sent to complete our job was incredibly dedicated and worked long days to get the work done. What was supposed to be a simple 1-2 day job turned out to be a full week job after they discovered that our staircase was completely rotten inside. The original plan was to replace only the steps, however, while removing the old steps the entire structure collapsed. Otto's crew meticulously rebuilt our entire staircase from the ground up incorporating the original bricks, which matched the rest of our porch. I was impressed that Otto did not change his quote and stuck to his original price even with the delays. Otto was a pleasure to work with. He always responded promptly to emails and phone calls and kept me up to date with what was going on. Everyone I talked to was very professional and I highly recommend booking Otto for your masonry jobs!

Based on HomeStars' reviews, we called Otto's Masonary to do some repair work on the exterior of our home. Otto came to determine the work that was needed, he showed his expertise by providing great recommendations and pointing out issues that we were already familiar with. After a few weeks, personnel from Otto's parged the lower foot of a large exterior wall by applying a rough coat and then a smooth coat of cement - this work was excellent. They also ground out and tuck pointed the walls on the front and rear of the house. The cement used for the rear of the house was a light orange colour and didn't match the existing brick at all. Upon asking for payment, we informed them of this issue and they immediately responded and had the same people come and paint the cement to match the brick. Overall, we were happy with the work done.

Masonry was one of those construction areas my husband and I had very little knowledge about. I found Otto's Masonry on Home Stars and decided to call him. He was quick to get back to us, and visited our home on a weekend. When drawing up our plans to finish our basement, we had to tackle our window situation first before starting anything else. We had 3 window areas to assign him. The first window we worked on was widening it from a typical 2 foot window to just a little over 4.5 feet. It brings more light in the space, and the work was very professional, clean and DONE RIGHT!. We also had a smaller window brought up to grade, so we removed the window well all together. It saves us from the cleaning jobs during the seasons, and we really only lost a few inches in the final product. Our last request was closing off the smallest window for a future stove hood to be installed. We are extremely happy with his work, and highly recommend him. We dealt with Otto directly, and if we had any questions, he got back to us either by email or phone immediately. His staff were on time, showed up, and were not slackers. They are very hard workers, and take pride in what they do. He kept in touch with us either by phone or email during the job took place, and made regular visits to our home to check on the job. His work is professional, and you don’t have to worry. We will defiantly we working with him in the future. Thanks Otto.

Needed some minor brick repairs around the outside of the house. I know small jobs can be difficult to get done, especially in the fall, but we tried anyway. Otto's was one of two who responded from the five we contacted. Both estimates were about the same...we went with Otto's because they were sure it could be done before the real cold weather set in. Job was done....looks great. Won't hesitate to call again for the next round of repairs.

Thanks Dennis. We try do do our best with scheduling. We get really busy sometimes but we do have masons on our staff who handle smaller jobs. Thus we tend to get to them fairly fast.

An above average contractor. Shows up when he says, does what he says, treats extras fairly, aims to please, honest and trustworthy. Finished work is always excellent. Any work deemed to be unacceptable is immediately re-done without issue or extra cost. I almost hate to offer the good reference because I may end up waiting longer the next time I need masonry work completed!!!

I selected Otto from Homestars. He promptly came out and explained the process and timeline. Additionally, he offered to take out a portion of our sidewalk leading to the porch. I was told that there would be an approximate 5 week wait and it was about that. Any delays due to weather, Otto always apprised me. He followed up continually to ensure the vision agreed upon was executed. A thoroughly pleasant experience and would recomment Otto to anyone. We'll look forward to enjoying the porch in the warmer weather.

A leaky eavestrough had caused water damage to the mortor at the side/front of the house which had to be replaced and re-pointed. There was also a lot of mortor missing from the pillar at the front of the house and along the side near the ground. The rest of the house also needed spot tuck pointing. After getting quotes both higher and lower and being recommended to Otto by my sister-and-law, we decided to go with Otto Masonry and are very happy with their work. Thanks again to the crew for the great job (and for getting it done so quickly)!

I had called a few chimney repair companies last fall. Most did not want to do our small job and if they did they asked for more that Otto quoted us. A competitor of Otto's knew him and spoke highly of him and his work and recommended that we hire Otto for the job because he said he would not take it for that quote. We did not do the work until this fall because of other more urgent repairs that we discovered. And still a year later, Otto was willing to do the work. He and his employees were a pleasure to deal with. They were punctual, capable, professional and friendly. All our questions were answered and they actually came earlier to do the job. I have no reservations in recommending Otto and his company. Thanks guys!
