I've gone to Midville Hardware & Paint Inc a few times within the past month or so and have ALWAYS had a great experience because the staff knows where everything is. They don't point you in the direction but instead actually walk you there and try to figure out what it is you need and what will work best for your situation. I needed strong hooks to hang up some window shades and they showed me three alternatives (ranging from price and the pros and cons). I will definitely shop there again.

Midvill is right in the middle of Queens and they have every tool imaginable. They have been here for years and can give you hints on how to get your project done the way it should be. It is large for a local store and they know where every nut and bolt is. Trust their advice, they know what they are talking about
