This contractor provided excellent service during this project. It was completed by skilled staff in a clean and professional manner. Good advice was provided along the way, attended to regularly by its production manager, Keith Rout, and the finished product is not only handsome, adding value to our home, but is a great joy to use. We would heartily recommend Royal Home Improvements for its professionalism and competence.

RHI did just about everything wrong. The estimate to complete was four months; it took them over twelve months. There was no superviision of the jobsite; the vice-president was supposed to do this, but was only there when a huge problem, usually involving money, came up, and he could rarely be reached by phone. Individual subs usually knew their job, except the framers who put up the outside wall with the window sideways, then had to tear it out when I pointed out the error. The concrete block wall came up so high it had to be cut for the door opening. This left ten inches above floor level, and meant a step on the inside wall to accommodate the insulation. One man was sent to hand dig an eight-foot deep trench to the original footings. It was fortunate he wasn't in the trench by himself when it caved in. The required "safety fence" around the excavation was a piece of plastic snowfence stuck on a flimsy stick. The framers used the styrofoam insulation panels to walk on, and broke them up. These were then used to "insulate" the poured concrete slab floor. It is cold in winter. The drywaller used my two saw horses to hold materials, then threw them in the dumpster when he was finished. All in all, it still makes us sick when we think of the Royal treatment, and especially when hearing the ads encouraging you to "let Royal look after everything - just go away for a holiday, and we'll do it all for you". Nobody should ever trust this company to do it right, especially without you overseeing every move they make, and you will have to be familiar with every step of the construction to know how it should be done.

My husband and I contracted Royal Home Improvements to do a downstairs bathroom renovation in January of this year. This was our second contract with Royal as they had renovated our kitchen in Dec. 2009. They are a great company to work with as their main focus is to please the customer and provide quality workmanship. Alban and his team were always easily accessible and always willing to consider my suggestions or come up with suggestions of their own if something wasn't working according to plan. Due to a family situation, they had been given a limited time to complete the reno, and, as promised, everything was completed on time. We would not hesitate to recommend Royal Home Improvements to anyone.

We contracted Royal Home Improvements after seeing them at the Home Show. They followed up 2 weeks later as requested and Paul, the owner, came to the house to assess the job and walk us through the contract. They assign a project manager and have one tradesman who works on the project through to the end. Included with our contract was time with a designer who helped with the many choices to be made. Keith, our project manager, made several visits to the house to check on progress and the work being done. Any questions or concerns we had were dealt with quickly and professionally. All of the trades did excellent work and we are very happy with the end result and we would highly recommend this company.

We met with a number of contractors but were most impressed with the professionalism and eagerness of the Royal Home representative, John Napolitano. In fact we have been very pleased with the quality and caliber of all of the Royal employees who were involved in our renovation, especially Aric Bagshaw who managed the project and Tony, Adam and Mike who were the constants on the job. They really worked very diligently - they were friendly, professional and offered excellent advice. They were very helpful in offering suggestions when modifications were needed and were accommodating with last minute changes too. I will definitely be calling Royal for our next renovations!

I highly recommend Royal Home Improvements. Our first project was building a separate, detached garage. They did such an excellent job that I hired them a year later to install new shingles and an aluminum roof. Initially, I did not know how to proceed. However, Kenzie researched and designed a free-standing garage with continuous siding, and their excellent work has helped us maximize its space. I cannot say enough great things about RHI. Kenzie and crew arrived promptly and worked diligently to complete our renovations on time and within budget. Polite, courteous, and hard-working. The professionals at RHI exceeded all of my expectations. Thank you for doing such a great job and for making our renovation a successful one!

I had a great experience with Royal Home Improvements. They recently completed a bathroom renovation and the installation of a tankless hot water heater. They were patient, detailed and thorough, and always a real pleasure to work with. In addition to completing some significant unanticipated electrical work, Alban and crew installed new plumbing, a new shower enclosure, new toilet and sink. Everything went really well and I was very pleased with the final product. They showed up promptly everyday, and completed the work within the expected timeframe. Their professional and courteous manner made them a real pleasure to deal with. Thank you Alban and Crew for a great job!

Hi Paul, We want you to know how happy we are with our renovation and addition. The best part of the process was the work ethic and friendliness of your staff. Our Project Manager Aric Bagshaw played a very important role in the success. Aric was the consummate professional. He was always available and on top of what was going on. We appreciated his recommendations regarding vendors and materials and his attention to details. He is a big asset to Royal Home Improvements. Paul Moody and Tony turned our old kitchen into my dream kitchen. The first thing I noticed when they started was the way that they swept up and kept the work area clean. They also did a great job laying our tiles and hardwood. Mike Facchini and Adam Wallace worked together as a team and the result is an addition that is way beyond our expectations. Clayton spent many hours in the cold putting up the siding. We have had nothing but compliments for the kitchen and the addition. Tony and I were impressed when you arrived personally to discuss our contract. We cannot speak highly enough about Royal Home Improvements. Our neighbours noticed how your staff were always here until completion. Passersby stopped and asked questions about the stonework. We have recommended Royal Home Improvements to friends and neighbours. Thank you, Mary Catherine & Tony Macaluso

We apologies for the delay to write this review. The work was done in February and March of 2011. We did have a great experience with Royal Home Improvement on our project. The quote was done by Paul Napolitano president, it was completed on his visit, he understood our needs and provided as requested 2 quotes, 1 for priority work to be done and a second for the complete basement. We were impressed with the complete information given that day on the quotes, it respected our budget and was competitive with other quotes received and appealed to us. The work was done on time and on budget, which is important when you decide to do renos. We had great service, communication with the project manager Aric was good, he got back to us promptly, whenever we had questions or clarifications on the work being performed vs the contract. The quality of the work done under the supervision of their main guy (Dusan) was also very good. We have already recommended RHI and based on this experience we will surely ask them to bid on future work we may decide to do. Thank you, job well done.

Royal Home did a total renovation of our kitchen in 2010. They did a wonderful job and came in on budget. The professionalism of the sub contrators was second to none. Royal Home's designer Doug Young and the owner Paul gave us amazing ideas that helped shape the renovation of our dream kitchen. Royal Home also finished our basement in 2006 with similar results. This included the complete rewiring of our home to replace knob and tube wiring. Thanks, Paul, you do great work.
