Our Whirlpool Duet washing machine started making very loud noises. Joe came, offered that our bearings were dead (as he had warned over the phone) and was frank about it. However, he recommended that we continue to use the washer until it stops working. Unfortunately, the washer started eating our clothes, leaving stains and tearing off bits of plastic and metal. Needless to say we were peeved - our bed sheets ruined. Joe was apologetic, said he'd never heard of this in all his years, and refunded our money. The original advice was off the mark, but the response about all we could ask for.

The customer called me with a noisy front load washer. I went over the details with the customer over the phone and told him that the machine could be noisy for various reasons. The customer invited me to go and have a look. I went over and explained that it was the bearing that was making noise and that everything else was ok. At the time, the washer was still spinning but only making noise. So, I told the customer that he needed to buy a new machine, that it was not worth repairing. However, I did say he could use the machine, 'under supervision'. This was my recommendation because I've had customers with noisy machines, who kept using their machines with no real problems. It is unfortunate, that in this case the machine only lasted for a few more loads and then the bearing completely gave way, which is not usual. Had someone been supervising the operation of the washer, they would have heard that something was going very wrong. The machine could have been stopped on time. In good faith, I did go back and refund the customer even though I do not feel it was necessary. After all of this, the customer contacted me several times for me to recommend where he could get a good deal on a new machine. I continued to assist him at no charge. Fast, friendly service. Very happy. Made every effort to fit me into their schedule. Fixed my gas oven and electric fireplace. Had the knowledge and tools on hand to get the jobs done. Definitely recommend.

Woke up in the morning and found that items in the fridge weren't as cold as usual. Freezer worked fine but fridge side was warming up. Called and Joe promptly returned my call. We made an appointment for the following morning and it was fixed up shortly after. Thanks Joe!

Christmas week 2011 (I just realized I had not written a review) my fridge stopped running....Joe called and since he was extremely busy he sent his friend Peter who was so pleasant and efficient. A week later Joe came to repair my stove, he too was pleasant and efficient. Great service.

My fridge/freezer broke. I called and left a message for The applicance guy and it was returned within 20 minutes. Joseph arrived within the hour. He was able to diagnose the issue with the fridge, replaced the part a clean up the mess all within an hour. He was extremely courteous, helpful and seemed very trustworthy. Thanks Joseph!

Prompt and professional-quite possibly the best appliance repair experience I have encountered. Joe was competent and experienced, quickly diagnosing the lack of cooling in my refrigerator and fixing it efficiently.

I was having an issue with my dryer. When I would put clothes in to dry, there was no hot air coming through. I called several companies and then I came across the Appliance Guy. I saw how many good reviews he had so I thought to give them a try. I called on the weekend but they were closed. I was given a call back the next business day and Joe was able to come that morning. He diagnosed the problem right away, the heater was broken. The good thing is he had the part on hand which I was so pleased with, I could tell right away that Joe knew his stuff. He was extremely knowledgeable and he was there to make sure the problem was fixed and that I was happy. I have never received such excellent customer service in my life. Joe was amazing and I will recommend him to all my family and friends. Thank you :)

a while ago I broke the latch on the dryer door and with out it the dryer wouldnt work he gave me an idea for a temporary fix using pop can and then he came over and replaced the latch. great service totally happy and would use appliance guy again for all my appliances repairs in the future

The Appliance Guy is very friendly. He first tried to talk us through a fix on the phone, but then made a visit when that proved unsuccessful. He had to use some heavy duty equipment to clear our blockage, and the challenge seem to generally interest him--I can honestly say he appears to love his job! The price was great and we wanted to hire him again when we had another appliance problem, with our stove, but he mainly works further north in Toronto and in the suburbs, I believe.
