Early last October my neighbour (in the other half of our semi-detached house) told me that the man rebuilding his chimney said my chimney was in pretty bad shape. I had been worried about my roof (although I couldn't see it) because I could see the shingles on the porch were curling. I was in a bit of a panic because I didn't know if I should call in a roofer or chimney repairer first. I was also afraid the weather could turn nasty at any time. If there was only time for one job, which was the most serious problem? Not being computer savvy I searched the Yellow Pages for a roofer and chimney repairer. I was pleased to find Quality Restorations could do both jobs. (And let them worry about what to do first!) To make a long story short, Quality Restorations did both jobs plus new eaves troughs before November first! We are pleased with the quality of the work and the workmen involved.

Quality Restoration replaced the concrete stairs, concrete sidewalks and repaired the stone work at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church. They did excellent work, were on time with completing the job and worked well with the parish community. There quote, although not the lowest, was professionally prepared and accurate (hate to think what would have happened if we went with the "low-ball" quote!). As well, Quality found a contractor to replace the railings and allowed us to deal direct with the railing company and thereby eliminate the middle-man.

The chimney on our older North Toronto home was in need of repair. We saw the reviews listed on Homestars for Quality Restorations and decided to give them a call. We were not disappointed. Doug was extremely responsive and did an onsite review and estimate right away. The work they did is first rate and I am surprised how they were able to match the original brick colour and the tuckpointing was done so that it matched the old color of the existing mortar. First rate! The crew was prompt, courteous and very professional. I would definitely recommend.

They rebuilt two of our chimneys. Work was done on schedule and the results were excellent. They also added gutterguard to our gutters which has greatly helped with the leaves.

We hired Quality Restorations to repair the damaged bricks on the side and the back of our Roncesvalles house. The bricks had been painted and were badly damaged by weather and water. Quality Restorations advised the best and most cost effective solution was to put vinyl siding on top of the brick wall. Doug organized the project and was a pleasure to work with. Mike and Tristan did the work on the house and they were polite, respectful and very hardworking. The house looks great and the work was on time and on budget. We have done many renovations in the past and we highly recommend this company - their services exceeded our expectations.

I had cracks in the brickwork above the patio door that were the result of replacement of a window with a patio door without replacing the lintel. Also, the sill of the window directly above this area was cracked. I feared that the whole wall would buckle and fall, so I started calling around for quotes. Doug's quote was the most reasonable, as well as informative. The original arched brick lintel had been compromised and new steel lintels on the outer and inner wythes needed to be installed to maintain the integrity of the wall itself, as well as the sill and window above. As it turned out, the inner whythe of bricks was also compromised, so they also needed to be removed and replaced. Carlton did a fabulous job with matching up the bricks - using some of my salvaged bricks along with new ones. My friends and family who saw the end result were impressed, as was I.
