We used Northwood to install a gas line for a new stove and to move a HVAC vent during a kitchen renovation. The company was very professional and organized and we particularly liked the helpfulness and honesty of Brian Landry. The installers who attended to actually do the work were very polite, tidy, and professional. The job was done perfectly in the time they said it would take and for the price that was quoted. I would use Northwood again and would recommend them to friends without hesitation. Well Done.

This company is the only one of several that I contacted that did not have pushy salesmen. The installation crew was exceptional. They worked from 8a.m. until 8p.m. without stopping. My only problem is that I ended up with two air purifiers which which was not requested. I was able to get the service cost reduced because I am out of their territory. They are recommended by Mike Holmes. Call them but make sure you get what you asked for.

To start we had an appointment set to have someone come out and quote. I get a call from the guy that was going to provide the quote stating he was running late. Reschedule? Come on. Gary stepped up to the plate and came out to provide the quote. Fantastic. All qoutes were in and aroung the same ballpark. Attention to detail was great. Drop cloths got put down first and the boys got to work. Brian came out and told the boys to complete A/C first and it was done day one. Complete the rest day two. Great cleanup. Thanks Northwood.

Ductless AC unit installed in an older semi. Process was very smooth. Good communication with sales people. Workers did a great job. Very tidy. Definitely would recommend Northwood. They also did a second installation the day before on a family member's house - different crew but exactly the same stellar performance. Very quick and efficient. Tidy and had good advice on how to set up the systems.

Searched Homestars and called Northwood to take a look at our a/c unit since it wasn't blowing cold air. John the technician came by who found a leak in our coil. Decided not to replace the coil since the a/c unit was fairly old and on its last legs. After interviewing a few quotes to replace the a/c and for a new high efficiency furnace, decided on Northwood based on John's professionalism and Gary's knowledge and recommendations on how to run the venting according to code. The price was competitive for a quality brand name a/c and furnace (York). The installation was top notch and was what made me happy that I chose Northwood. Santos is a master at what he does with the help of his assistant George. Santos made sure every detail was taken care of and even fixed my central humidifier. I asked if they could help put a blanket around my water heater and they said no problem. Santos and George went above and beyond my expectations. They placed down tarps everywhere and swept the area spotless afterwards. I would highly recommend Northwood to anyone looking for quality and peace of mind. Will definitely have to call Gary back when its time to go tankless! By the way the soap bottle is at my house. LEAFS RULE!

Didn't use their service (already committed to someone else by the time we managed to speak - that the problem with voice mail :( ), but spoke to Mike who seemed very knowledgeable and was very helpful, making lots of suggestions on what I should be asking about. Even without confirming that he was getting the business he still was very helpful.

I began hearing a new sound in the basement from my air conditioner last week. As owner of this house for 30 years, I have learned to be suspicious of new noises. They are seldom good news. I called Northwood Heating and Air Conditioning, explained the problem and that I was still getting cooling, but that I would appreciate a service call in the near future. (I didn't want to take time from the emergency calls for those people whose systems had broken down. As well, being in Scarborough, I was aware that a service call was more efficient for their technicians if they already had other calls in the area.) On Monday of the very next week, I got a call asking if I would be home on Tuesday afternoon. Now that is really quick service for what my needs were during a July heat wave. John, the technician I see most often at my home, spent an hour checking everything out, topped up the coolant in the system, assured himself that there was no leak, and explained the cause of the noise that I had heard. I felt reassured about the integrity of my air conditioner and the validity of the adage that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I am confident that I won't see a weakening or a breakdown of the system this summer. Thanks to Gary, Mike, and John for continuing excellent customer relations and product service over the years. You guys are the best.
