Century Home floor refinishing

After reading several rave reviews on Homestars, I phoned NewRidge and left a message which was returned promptly by Scott. I was given an appointment for Heath to come see the home and provide us with a quote. The quote was, in our opiniion, very reasonable. We were also very impressed with Heath. He has a genuine love for wood and we feel we have found a true craftsman. We look forward to having the project completed. If you have had floors done, perhaps you can suggest what you did with your furniture during the process? That is my current project.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

I chose NewRidge because of Homestar reviews which I read on this website which they referred me to. I hired them to refinish my living room dining room which job was completed while I was away. On my return, on an initial superficial inspection ( I am disabled and unable to kneel down and do a close up inspection), the job appeared fine. However, soon after, when I had another flooring top Hamilton/Burlington flooring company came to estimate a totally different flooring job in other rooms the estimator pointed out problems with the new finishing job done by NewRidge and asked why it had been left in that conition. He indicated that the refinishing job was not of an acceptable standard because of a pebbled effect left on the floor especially around the perimeter of the room which he indicated was due to a failure by NewRidge to properly clean/vaccuum sawdust particles before applying the new finish, creating a pebble effect which was only visible on close inspection but which also could be felt by touching the flooring. I had not looked at the floor up close and my eyesight is not great. I immediately contacted NewRidge by mail with full details of the problem and requesting them to help solve this problem. NewRidge never bothered to acknowledge my corresponsdence or attempt to contact me in the past 2 months. When they initially completed the job, which I paid for in cash, they were quick to request and follow-up on their request for a positive Homestars review, which I assume is their major advertising vehicle. Based on this experience with NewRidge, I would say their workmanship is substandard (the expert's opinion not mine) and they do not stand behind their work. I am totally dissatisfied with this job and this company and would definitely not recommmend them to anyone in the future.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Wow! What a difference! They look even much better than new hardwood floors. I prefer refinished floors to well dressed modern floors. I can feel they appreciate their new look! As my place had a limited space to store the furniture, there were needed two separate jobs; first, the kitchen and the dining room, and the next week, the living room. Although, it must be much harder than doing it all in one! William did a great job. I can't recognize the borderline at all! All the guests are impressed with the beautiful finish and I am so happy with it. Thank you!

refinished 3 bedrooms and a hallway

I am happy with the job NewRidge ReFinishing did on my floors. I called Scott for a price and he gave me one over the phone and then had Brent stop by to comfrim it . Brent was very thorough on explaining the steps in doing the job and when he started the job he was here on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. My floors look great and i will recommend NewRidge to anyone that is looking to get there floors refinished. Thanks to NewRidge and Brent for a great job.

hardwood refinishing (minor repairs) and darker stain

Overall, we are very pleased with the curteous staff, and a job well done! The floors came out better then I ever imagined! The floors we had were worn and needed minor repairs. We had our whole main floor done.

Refinished 1500 sq. ft. of original hardwood

My recently purchased home was in desperate need of some repair, including the original hardwood. There was what appeared to be water damage, stains, scuffs, scratches and more. Scott and Brent from NewRidge came in, sanded the floors down, and stained them a nice walnut shade. Now they look brand new! The entire process was made very easy by NewRidge. They had great customer service and follow up. They charged me exactly as quoted with no negative surprise. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of some floor refinishing. My word of advice, if you are having your floors done be sure to air your house out immediately following the completion. There was a strong odor upon completion that stuck around for awhile. BUT , just a small price to pay for a fantastic job. Thanks guys! John in Hamilton

Showroom Floor Refinishing

Great Job! When we hired them, we were going to do a poly coating on our floors but due to the high, commercial traffic, they suggested we do tung oil instead and it could be self-maintained in the years to come. They did the work exactly as they said they would and it was done on time...we're very happy with the work!

William did a fantastic job, the floor looks awesome!!! The floors were about 1000 SF split between 2 different wood species birch and oak. William did a great job matching the colour of the stain between both wood species.
