Earlier this year, we needed to waterproof our basement and as a result, parts of our driveway needed to be re-paved. We tried contacting a number of different companies, but had difficulty getting through to a company that was willing to do a smaller job. Nick's team did an excellent job re-paving and made sure that the asphalt grading was done right. They even raised our window wells a few inches because the company that did the waterproofing had left them too low. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We had a small problem with our front walkway, and as we are both seniors we could not do the repairs our selves. Nick was very helpful and returned our call right away. The other guy want to tear out everything and charge us 4500 dollars. Nick did exactly what needed to be done and did not over charge us at all. In fact, I though it would have been more. I am very happy with the level of service we received and almost wish we had more for him to do. Thanks Nick, good job.

We did not under or over charge for this work. People are so used to getting such high quotes for small jobs that a reasonable charge seems unrealistic. We charged only what any above board contractor should have charged. But thank you all the same

came in under budget and on time knowledgable staff and very courtious. it was tough to find someone to do such a small asphalt job. they didn't over charge like everyone else was trying to do would highly recommend them.

I called Mr Black Topp in to do a repair on my mothers' driveway. They pulled weeds from her driveway edge and sealed the space with asphalt. Ultimately, the weeds grew back through the asphalt right away. Nick had said that he would come back and fix any problems if any occurred. I called and he said he would look at the problem. He didn't show. I have been trying to reach him for weeks now with no avail. His answering machine is always picking up and he does not return calls. I feel that he ripped my 89 year old mother off. Beware.

We were originally called in to repair a hole where the down pipe eroded the driveway. We were told they did not want to spend too much money. After that was completed they asked if any thing could be done about the weeds along the side of the house.They were informed that the weeds were in fact bushes because they had never been tended too. The optimum way to remove the bushes and roots would be to cut asphalt down the side of the house and solve the problem at the root base. But money was an issue. Fine, I suggested removing the weed/bushes by hand and filling the edge with asphalt. They were made very clear that the weeds would most likely push back through the asphalt unless the roots were torn out. I was also told by the daughter that none of that mattered, as they did not have time to go and keep fixing the house and doing repairs, so the mother would be moving in with them. Fine we did what they wanted at no extra charge. The sad part of this is that we did go back and look at the issue and against our better judgment agreed to carry out further repairs again at no cost to the customer. But, now that I read a nasty review about our company and calling me a thief who preys on elderly women, the daughter can solve the issue all on her own. As they were free to begin with. There is no mention about the five foot deep hole at the side of the house that was repaired. Why even give us a rating of 4, why not zero, why not negative 10. People who have used our services are quite happy based on previous reviews and we can't always get to the phone, but if a message is left it is always returned in a timely manner.Cindy you just proved that no good deed goes unpunished.

Mr. Black Topp did a great job for us! Put a slope along the side of our house to deter water. Fast, reasonable price... and such nice people! Highly recommended!

This is an experienced professional who does what he says and in the time he promises. While he advertises as a small repair service, he also does excellent start-to-finish larger projects. His attention to detail necessary to those smaller, 'finicky' jobs is in fact a benefit to the larger ones. I also appreciated his excellent clean-up. A pleasant guy to work with.

I had about 30 square feet of my driveway that had been cut and removed by another contractor, who then claimed he couldn't repair it. Many paving companies didn't want the job, and one even quoted me $1000 just to show up! Mr Black Topp was able to do the job for a reasonable price within a few days of me calling, and it looks great now. Nick came ready to work with a great sense of humour and a very positive attitude. Highly recommended for small asphalt jobs.
