Bought a sofa sectional, told it would be 6 weeks for the custom fabric that was chosen. The saleswoman called us twice to inform where it was in the build cycle and it even arrived earlier than expected - product was good & it was set-up right - great first experience. Then I made the mistake of pushing it by buying a coffee and side table, a shelving unit, and an office desk. Items were promised in 6 weeks. Saleswoman (from another location) never called with a progress report. After 9 weeks of waiting we called the store and have been calling on a regular basis for the last 3 weeks & I still don't have a date for delivery of goods. This is now 12 weeks later!! The last call was to inform that I wanted to cancel the order, the salesperson informed me that the Manager would get back to me. It's now another 4 days and no call from the Manager. They have a retail store with no managers working retail hours?? Please if anybody can help me, please post because we are approaching Xmas & I don't have coffee tables, etc and need to buy lamps, etc to finish my room. All in all this purchase was poor and I would put in the contract that if they can't deliver in x time then the contract is null & voided. This is a pathetic excuse for a company. This is as if they are having financial problems with their suppliers - that's why they can't offer a date, what other reasons are there? Stay away from this place and be sure to get a opt out clause with any contract you write with ANY furniture store.

I'm writing this to let potential customer know that Mobilia is not a good place to shop for furniture or anything that they deal with. We dealt with Mobilia 11 years ago, that was the worst experience of our life. Our bed room set was delivered four months late and was missing one night table and a drawer for the dresser. Almost every piece was damaged and looked like it had been used previously.

I bought a bed and two night stands at the end of June 2010 at Mobilia, Dundas St. Mississauga. The sales person told that because the warehouse or factory(I can not remember which one) was going to be close for 2 weeks, my order would take 6 week.) I was aware of that and agreed. Now it is mid-September and still I did not get my order. I have been calling the store and passing by every few days and they just keep saying it will be coming in one week or two. At this point, the manager Ivan said it will be leaving the warehouse this coming Friday, September 17 and I should get by next week, almost the end of September, over 8 weeks. I am very disappointed and I would never shop there again. I feel like going to the store and telling each and every possible customer what is happening and advise them not to buy.

By far - the worst furniture store I have dealt with in my time here in Toronto. They make the sale and once you put a deposit - you are meaningless. We ordered a bed, couch and chest. Bed and chest arrived in 6 weeks - chest was a floor model which they said they would fix and send (and they never did any of that). Bed was damaged while assembling. Not to mention - the delivery guys were rude and actually had the gall to tell us we made them late for other deliveries (they were specifically told to arrive in the afternoon when we scheduled the delivery but showed up at the door at 9:30am and then blamed us for not being at the door). We were told our couch would arrive in 10 weeks. In week 12 now and the store has been dodging our queries over the last two weeks - no body has a clue where the couch is. We keep getting told that their Montreal store is talking with the manufacturer and somebody will call us with a new delivery date. Nobody from the store ever calls back. We have to keep calling them. Just a badly managed store with no concept of customer service. My recommendation - spend your money else where - you may spend a few bucks more but you wont repent like me.

Please contact John Ritchie in Montreal at 1-866-662-4542. He is the central manager. Dealing with Krista and Melissa will only make you more fustrated and angry. I too am an unhappy customer-made a big purchase only to recieve defective furniture and a defective replacement. You may also concider MarketPlace at cbc-a full inquiry into this store in about time. The customer care and quality is horrible and completely unacceptable. My sympathies to anyone who has made a purchase only to find out that the furniture is defective and occurance of non-existant customer care.

The price was a little over my budget. I would have liked it if they would negotiate the price. i found the quality and selection to be good. They were very personal and friendly.

I recently ordered a couch from Mobilia in Mississauga, the exact order date was September 8th, 2009. When I purchased it I was told that it was a "special order" because I wanted a different fabric and that it would take 4-6 weeks to arrive at the store. After a month I called to check the status of my order and was informed that "special orders" actually take 8-10 weeks. After reviewing my invoice, I noted that this was correct so accepted that issue as my fault (though I am sure it wasn't as my move in date was October 24th and I would not have ordered a couch with such a long wait time). After 8 weeks I called again to check the status and was told it would definitely be in this month (November). I called again today (November 24th) and was told by the first person I spoke to it was scheduled to arrive mid-December and then by the salesperson who sold me the couch in the first place that it would be the beginning of December but once it arrived in the store it would take an additional week to deliver it. I explained that I am hosting a party on December 5th and need the couch for that date. The salesperson told me that there is basically nothing they could do, this after they told me that they would make a note on my file to ensure the couch was in this month (November). At this point I will probably be lucky if I get the thing by January. This is crazy. In addition, NEVER ONCE was I contacted by anyone from Mobilia to say that there were any delays expected. I don't recommend anyone purchase anything from this store unless you don't really care when you get it. Next time I'll pay the extra few hundred dollars and go to DeBoer's!

I don't even know where to start with how horrible the customer service is at Mobilia. The problems started as soon as you had paid our non-refundable deposit. We felt like we had bought a real lemon of a vehicle from a sleezy used car salesman. When we got the couch we were so dissapointed with the poor quality that we sold it at a huge loss and are shopping elsewhere. I wouldn't be suprised if this company is out of business soon given it's horrible customer service.

I purchased a sofa set from Mobilia in February. Was told it would be 8-10 weeks becuase i special ordered the leather, to my surprise i got a call 4 weeks after saying my sofa set was in and ready for delivery. They told me they could deliver it in the next 2 or 3 days if i was ready for it. I had it delivered the delivery guys were great, very polite and helpful. We noticed a little mark on the front of the sofa and were instructed by the delivery guy to call Mobilia for a service guy. I spoke to Raquel the next day and she was more very helpful, we had a service guy over the next week and he did a great job. I can not even see where the nick was anymore. I read alot of reviews after I made my purchase and was very scared. So i wanted to make a point of writing a review since most people only take the time to write bad ones. I will be back to Mobilia to buy more things when I get a chance to. Jenny

Bought a new bed from Mobilia. In store service was "ok". bed took 1 month longer than was supposed to. Not the leather we ordered. When it arrived the guys who put it together did a piss-poor job. damaged the frame and made it impossible to take apart. Mobilia had to send out someone to take the bed apart..it needed new holes drilled on site as the original screw holes were damaged. It took 3 weeks of calls before they made an appointment to actually have the guy come out. Fortunately the repair guy was awesome!!
